AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker

I went with the AeroPress because it seemed like basically French Press 2.0, and I am very happy with my decision. I find it easier than auto-drip (faster, no fiddling with settings or reservoirs or whatever) and much more versatile - espresso, americano, and even cold brew, though I haven't figured out that last one even though I followed the included instructions to the letter (it is far too weak).

Aeropress works just as it is supposed to. The part I didn't anticipate is that it is completely efficient at removing all acid from the produced coffee. Well, the NZ was okay but certainly didn’t call for the earth to stop rotating but the coffee from the DF64 - prepared in the same AeroPress with the same recipe - was absolutely earthshaking. Believe it or not. I actually think the aeropress sits at the Apex of all of your qualifications; It's inexpensive, it's easy to use, but is still considered "coffee niche" enough to be a very thoughtful gift.

* Conclusion: Aeropress is about the best beginner method, so easy to make really good coffee even if so-so equipment, but gives a beginner some room to grow and learn. But do move on to pourovers! (or whatever else you love, espresso, FP, etc etc).

I read a lot of reviews on the Aeropress Coffee Maker, and so far, so good. There is a learning curve, and different techniques to use to make it work smoothly, but I watched some YouTube videos and now things are working well. This is perfect for weekdays when I only want one cup off coffee. :)

I gotta say though, this AeroPress is pretty damn awesome. She's not the only one loving the coffee. I've made three pretty tasty batches so far.

Works great, easy to clean, capacity is a different convo. Need to make coffees 'americano' style essentially but making the coffee extra strong and diluting with water after using press. I knew this going in, but bummer. Having it be portable is nice.
