They have the most robust padding in our test, and the long, heavy-duty sleeve provides additional leg coverage and protection. The impressive quality of the construction really stood out to us. These pads use tougher and thicker materials than the other pads in our test, giving them a robust built to last feel. We do not doubt that these pads can take a beating and are an excellent option for hard-chargers, shuttle monkeys, and even some bike park rats. Considering all the protection they offer, we also found them to be surprisingly comfortable with a great fit. 
While we love the Project Knee pads, they have a somewhat limited bandwidth. They are not a very pedal-friendly option; there is a lot of bulk, and the materials are so thick that they are quite warm. It seems that climbing and ventilation were not a priority in the design process; getting radical was. These pads are also quite expensive, but we feel the quality, performance &#40;within the intended application&#41;, and durability are impressive enough to warrant the cost for the right rider.

Hard plastic inside hurts.

 Has a thin, hard but flexible outer knee cap that provides some protection allowing your knee to slide during an impact instead of grinding into the ground, which usually causes your pads to slide off, and you end up with a knee injury anyway and most likely abrasions on your knees. Hard cap help distribute impact forces when you crash. You do have to slide them on and off, so shoe removal required. Expensive, but trust me these are worth it

Excellent quality pads.

 It's been close to 10 years and i'm happy to see how things have evolved. these pads fit great, pedal great and are made from top notch materials/manufacturing processes. Totally love em so far and have a pretty good feeling they'll endure for quite a while. Kudo's to the design team for nailing this one!

Really comfortable - the sleeve fits really well, is not too hot, is snug but not too tight and doesn't pinch at the cutout. The silicone strips hold the pads in place really well, even on long rides they don't shift at all, basically set and forget. The velcro straps give a good bit of extra adjustability, although I found that they weren't really needed with the top of the sleeve tucked under my shorts.

You basically pull them on and forget about them they dont move at all and you dont get too sweaty in them .size is perfect ive fairly chunky thighs at 60cm (24")and went for the XL and they are spot on the velcro straps i didn't need to use and are just velcroed in place am thinking about cutting them off but ill leave them for now as there not in the way. 

Stays put all day
