Has there ever been a game where after a few years of regular play, you ONLY discovered you'd missed out a rule all this time?
Tried it but no one liked it, so went back to "normal". Fortunately not years, more like months. But my wife and I playing 7 Wonders Duel, would just build 4 wonders each.
The ultimate in 2-Spouse/2-Player gaming
For the past several years, my primary gaming partner has been my wife. As you can imagine then, 2-player style games come out quite often at our house. This is the best 2-player game I have ever played, bar none. To start, know that I have never played 7 Wonders (the original game), so I can't comp...

7 Wonders Duel Game Review – Meeple Mountain
The Perfect Two-Player Game. All of this gushing is for a good reason: I truly believe all gamers should own a copy of 7 Wonders Duel, but especially those who have a dedicated gaming partner at home. It’s easy to get to the table, takes only a play or two to get comfortable with the gameplay, and it always gives me lots of interesting choices to make in a breezy 20-to-30 minute playtime

10 Games That Hit Above Their Box Size (And Some Games that Don't)
Also, **7 Wonders Duel** has a lot of game for a mini box, though part of that is because it uses cards that are in my opinion, too small. I don’t own it yet - it’s at the top of my list - but the *the red cathedral** is also another small.
7 Wonders: Duel Review
Although it wasn’t a big hit with our family, we realize the enjoyment of a board game all comes down to personal taste. Although the rules are complicated, 7 Wonders: Duel is fairly easy to play once you get the hang of it—but that could take a while. 4. 7 Wonders Duel; this was in practice just like splendor, it was engaging strategically and we just wanted to play a lot of back to back games as our competitive spirits clashed.
