Vitamix 5200, but for a more budget (but still excellent) option, I would highly recommend the Breville Hemisphere Control for a shade above 150. I will recommend against the Ninja blenders. They're a lot cheaper, but there are good reasons to get at least the Breville.

This blender is too expensive for the error messages I keep getting. It's also very difficult to use when I use the cup blender option because it keeps giving me the same error message..

It can easily make bar-quality crushed ice, almond butter, and smoothies, and it can even hot blend. However, this blender is pretty straightforward, and it doesn't have a Pulse mode or any preset modes. It also isn't dishwasher-safe, but it's still quite easy to clean by hand.

So it's probably not much of a surprise that the anniversary edition of the 3500i is pretty fantastic. The hundred years of experience behind vitamix ...

Better practice would be to make all movement clockwise (or all movement cc) as this would put both studs of the pair in play for each lock-unlock episode ( and reduce the wear on the otherwise solo stud by a significant percentage).. The BEST PRACTICE, however, which might be a little hard to swallow or ordain in the instructions, would be to make all movement clockwise on odd days of the month, and all movement cc on even days of the month. So my husband and I had a blendtect that we loved for about 7 years before we realized we had to replace the jar and lid. We decided rather than doing that we would get a new blender and see how technology improved. However, in order to use it for dry ingredients, you have to purchase a dry blade for it. For the price, it should have come with it. I liked it but it didn't fully serve the needs of my lifestyle. I took it back and bought a cheaper brand that I could use for dry ingredients

I recently received my new A3500 from Vitamix's official site and I've fallen in love with what it can produce. But after 50+ smoothies, I'm still smelling burn-off fumes, and the machine seems to propel the blades in short bursts instead of a smooth spin at speed 10 (it sounds like 1 burst per second). I load my ingredients precisely as Vitamix suggests, add enough liquid, and always ramp up to speed 10 in 2-3 seconds. Should I be worried?

Received my 7500 Reconditioned and the first thing I noticed was the variable speed knob seems to have zero effect to the speed of the blades. I read the manual, followed the steps to 'reset' and still nothing. I have not had a great experience so far with Vitamix customer service. The first rep told me this was totally normal (which I've watched enough demo videos of this model to know that it is not, also just visited a friend yesterday with a Next Gen and their variable speeds work as expected)

They also back their warranty 100%. Bought a refurbished one with a 5 year warranty, 4 years later a small part cracked and they shipped it to themselves and sent me it back all fixed within 5 business days for free of course .

Why did we get this one? - Durability, it's made extremely well. - It grinds rice for flour. (We have a health issue in the family requiring gluten free meals). - It actually blends better than anything we've owned (Look at the videos and reviews online, look at the coffee shops and see what they have)

They emailed me a UPS label and let me ship (free)the mechine to repair. Only a week, fixed and returned it to me. No questioon, no more a word. Simple, easy, quick

Simple, not legacy, but not the newest like, and simple machine. I just bought the a3500. However, I bought it because we had like 300 Amazon gift cards from our wedding, 20% off from our Amazon wedding registry bonus, and some points from my Amazon CC. Im warey of the tech inside it going bad or malfunctioning some wha, but it has a 10 year warranty, I bought it off Amazon, and vitamix seems to have top notch support

Yes, I expected noisy but this is more like noisy I expect it to come flying apart at any minute. It also still has a burning smell to it when you turn it on. As someone who is intimately familiar with what burning electronics smells like, this thing smells like burning. I get the distinct impression Vitamix was trying to cut as much cost out of the product as possible to increase margins

I have and use hearing protection, and recommend all users wear hearing protection. It may seem like it is unnecessary, but if you use your blender with any frequency, the noise level will degenerate your hearing over time. [FPN: I knew from both reviews and friends who have this unit, it was LOUD, but I felt (still do) it was worth the purchase.
