So that's another! Nice upgrade to the Ascent as well., So we're excited to try this out.

But I dislike the look of it, not as good with smaller batches, I’m not a fan of the touch screen / overall look of it and would probably have to buy a smaller container for single size smoothies? (Could also get the A2300 or A2500 but figure if I’m going to get one with the low profile container might as well get the quietest one).

Generally speaking, I like my new Vitamix. I spent a lot of time researching which blender to buy because of the high price. I did not take into consideration that the 64 oz container that comes with this model is too big for many blending jobs. Because it’s so wide at the bottom, many recipes can’t...

It's the tall container that creates a better vortex and makes the difference with the 5200 - especially for smaller quantities. If you use the 48oz container with the A2500 for smaller quantities there should be no difference in blend. The motor on the A2500 is actually stronger.

Bought this because it is supposed to have great power for blending. I like to make smoothies. I use frozen fruit and some juice but it seems like every time I make one the blender over heats starts to smoke and shuts down. was using yesterday and stopped working then started again. It is almost 2 yrs old and used sparingly . when running full out , it seems to slow down and then speed up.
