TP-Link TL-R605 vs Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X

Okay, so I bought this about four or five weeks ago. It was like $59-$60 bucks. Willie did a video on it. He did an overview on it and I was impressed...

Were I starting over now I would probably go TP-Link for everything except my router. My router would be OpnSense on hardware I purchased. That being said, my EdgeRouter X has done a fine job for me and since I already had on AP AC Lite I just added another and repositioned the original one as it works fine other than a few spots in the house.

The result? Well my top speed capped out at just over 600MBs down and 830MBs up. Now I do believe that is due to some other configurations that I have in place. The Omada app, is a joke. The limitations of the Omada app compared to the web interface is a night and day difference, and not in a good way

In the end, I guess it is in fact a router...and it does in fact support pretty high throughput for its $$
