 When it is all packed up, it measures 48 by 56 by 12 inches. When it is open, it measures 96 by 56 by 52 inches. Once you get this mounted on your car, you can take it down but probably won’t want to. As you see, it’s quite heavy and large

 One issue that a few people have experienced is poor manufacturing and craftsmanship. In some cases, a piece or a zipper was installed backward. In other cases, there were many small metal shavings left inside the tent, which in turn, caused holes. Luckily, there is a two-year warranty included that insures your item from these types of mishaps

 There are not a lot of frills, but with your car as a storage system below, they are not really necessary. This item is a big investment. It is very expensive, but it is built to last. Make sure you inspect the tent when you receive it and do a couple of test setups to make sure everything is in order

 There are MUCH better models on the market now (albeit for more money - but you get what you pay for here).  Review: I have been an off-roader and deep country backpacker for decades now. I have written for outdoor magazines and done several reviews. I put my gear through it and I expect it to preform

 2. The zipper itself that holds the cover to the base separates, and while some zipper wax has alleviated the problem, it is very clear that this zipper will have to be full replaced relatively soon. 3. The screws that hold the center frame into place fall out under vibration

 The customer service sent bungie cords to help with this (which I have yet to test) but the rainfly is still going to be an issue. Honestly, this makes the entire setup pointless. 7. Ripped tooth - In a mid size windstorm one of the "teeth" the holds the rain fly in place ripped

 Yet another band-aid for a poorly made product. 6. Folding failure - this has to be my biggest complaint. When folding up the tent the fabric doesn't fold properly inside meaning that I have to climb up onto roof of my rig and fight to get it all back in there

Nothing but Problems

 I have it on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk on Thule crossbars with stock roof racks and it is solid.

Amazing tent. Arrived with no damage, first night in it I put the rain fly on before bed (thank god) then we had 60km winds and major rain. No leaks and barely any condensation as it has vents built in. Very durable tent and very good quality

Great tent, I absolutely recommend it.

 Do the same for the windscreen as well. Inside the tent, you will find a padded mattress with an anti-condensation mat underneath to help prevent moisture buildup. Large zippered windows with screens are present for when you want to let in some light without letting in the bugs. This tent also has multiple tiered pockets for storage, vents for better air circulation, and two skylights

 Welcome back to the Rack Warehouse YouTube channel.

 Today we are doing an unboxing, installation, and product overview on the Thule Tapulee

 This tent is Thule's 3 person offering built for off-road use for your 4x4 trailer or off-road

 The Cucanom 3 is available in two colors, Haze Gray and Olive Green.

 In this video we will be setting up and demonstrating the Haze Gray model.

 This rooftop tent arrives in a large reinforced cardboard box.

 Upon opening the box you will find the tent instructions as well as warranty information.

 As you can see the tent comes out of the box in the folded position mostly pre-assembled.

 Located on the side of the tent wrapped in bubble wrap are the tracks that are used to

 The rest of the hardware and accessories are located inside the tent.

 Release all of the straps and carefully unfold the tent to gain access to the opening.

 Located inside will be 4 things, the tent cover, the telescoping ladder, the tent poles,

 and a bag with the mounting hardware and supplied tools.

 To begin setting up the tent, start by inserting a nut into each side of the track.

 Located on the inside of the tent under the sleeping mat will be a set of 4 holes.

 Insert the bolts with a large washer on them from the inside and place the tracks on the

 Tighten the bolts with a supplied wrench to secure the track to the tent.

 The brackets for the ladder will need to be installed next.

 Thread the bolts from the bottom, add a washer, and tighten them with the wrench.

 To attach the ladder to the brackets, place a washer onto the bolt, set the spacer in

 between the bracket and the ladder, and thread the bolt through the hole.

 Place a nut on the other end and tighten both sides with the wrenches.

 The ladder should be able to move freely when fully tightened.

 Buckle the strap that extends over the ladder to hold it in place.

 To install the cover, slide it into the channel and up and around the tent.

 Zip up the bottom and fasten the straps.

 To install the tent on your crossbars, insert the mounting hardware into the track on the

 Route the bracket under your crossbar and thread a nut onto the end of each bolt.

 Tighten each nut with the supplied wrench.

 You'll need to do this for all four corners until the tent is secure on your crossbars.

 Finally, insert all four end caps into the ends of the tracks.

 To set up the tent with it mounted, you will first need to remove the cover.

 To do so, start by releasing the straps.

 Next, pull the Velcro apart to reveal the zipper.

 Unzip the tent all the way around and pull the cover off the tent.

 Release the straps all around and unfold the tent fully.

 Remove the strap that holds the ladder and allow it to telescope down to the ground.

 you to adjust the ladder further to get the appropriate length.

 With the tent unfolded, you'll need to insert the supports for the weatherized cover into

 three locations on both sides of the tent to increase its rigidity.
