  The single instructional video leaves out so many steps that is also a joke.  This thing is NOT easy to set up the first time nor to figure out what all the bags and components are for or what position on the tent everything needs to be in to initially fold it up and get it ready to use. The cartoon instructions are ridiculous and must be some kind of IQ test I flunked.  The single instructional video leaves out so many steps that is also a joke.  I would prefer to be above ground than down there because what we saw is we opened up our tent, shine the light down below and there's six or seven javelinas attacking our food bin for two hours. So I don't want to be down there when they're attacking our food bin right outside our door. I prefer to be above ground. Bigger animals might still be able to crawl into your tent but pro tip just don't leave any food in there

 A rooftop tent can handle all four seasons and it is constructed with coated denier canvas made to withstand the elements and can last for years with proper care. We have personal experience from when we traveled to West Texas a couple months ago and the whole trip we had about 30 miles an hour wind. Our rooftop tent was able to withstand all that wind. We traveled with some family and friends and they were planning on putting down their ground tent

 Who knows? So I think that the rooftop tent is definitely worth it because you can go and start your adventures wherever you park. The number three reason why we believe the rooftop tent is definitely worth it is because of the extra cargo space that you will have with a rooftop tent being on top of your vehicle. So our Tough Stuff Alpha is able to fit four pillows at the back as well as a comforter or a sleeping bag in there and we're able to close the tent down and go on our way.
