 So this glove has high vent waterproofing, it's going to keep you nice and waterproof and nice and breathable as well. So depending on whether you're going to be going peak, doing on-piste, off-piste or doing a bit of backcountry, you're covered from this glove. Now the design on the front here just gives it a little bit more flexibility and a little bit more stretch should we say. Even obviously it's not designed to be a stretch material but when you actually bend your hand around it, it's just going to give you a more of a closer feel should we say, ideal for skiers as well

 Anyway, let's actually put this back on because I'm going to show you in depth the bottom, should we say the palm of the glove. Let me just wiggle my feet in, feet, toes should I say, toes, fingers. Right, so the actual bottom part or the palm of the glove, you've got a different style of material, that's going to give you extra grip when you're gripping your pole. The way that it's stitched and it's designed kind of gives it a bit of an ergonomic fit as well so you're going to get a really nice close fit with it and as I say it's just a different beast should we say, it's just going to be nice and hard wearing for you

 This is one aspect I like about the mitt because it seems to improve dexterity and fit and it doesn't come at the cost of warmth. I was out for many winter hikes and downhill skiing in temperatures around minus 15 plus the wind chill and only a couple times were my fingertips cold on the slopes. On cold days however when working to get up hills with Nordic poles in the same temperature range I found I was getting sweaty and the leash came in handy to take my hands out for a few minutes at a time to cool off. The Montana Mitt has a slim fit and for a mitt does not seem bulky at all

 I measured on line F for a large and even though I'm happy with the mitt I did feel like it was tight in terms of the width around the palm. If for some reason your hand is swimming with room there is a strap that you can tighten to improve the fit and keep warmth in. On the base of the mitt there is a drawstring to keep the mitt tight to your arm in the snow out. Although the system is simple to use with the mitt already on one hand I did find the circumference very small so you may have to manipulate bulkier jackets into the mitt with the drawstring fully open

The North Face Montana Mitt is an warm and affordable mitt that is great for any activity in cold weather.

 They're very similar to my Montana Gore-Tex mittens so I'm excited to see how they've sort of upped the game especially with the Futurelite material that they're using in it to see how it compares and how it stacks up against the tried and true Gore-Tex.  Your hands and fingers are going to remain nice and warm inside. That's been the first look at the North Face Women's Montana Futurelite e-tip mitt. These are exactly the same as the men's version it's just the sizing that changes it so if you're considering getting a pair you can expect all the same things if you're buying a men's or women's version. Just make sure you check the sizing as that's always an important part as you don't want lots of extra space which means air can be around your hand and let cold air sit in there

First Look at the North Face Montana FUTURELIGHT E-Tip Mitt

 I’m getting really sick of North Face products falling apart quickly, and this will probably be the last I buy. Recently a pair of climbing shorts starting fraying and pilling up after one week. Unfortunately TNF quality is sub par for me.

Go Up One Size

I recently moved to Michigan from North Carolina. These gloves were given to me as a Christmas present. Just in time! It's freezing in Michigan but these gloves keep my hands toasty warm! Not too bulky.
