 The second issue is that the stirrups or bottom support don't have clamps and bend easily, meaning you want to put enough pressure on the bike you are transporting to create a secure and firm hold on the support, yet the supports are flimsy and bend. I find this to be a rather glaring design flaw and I would be embarrassed if this were my product as this is the reason why I can no longer use this rack and have to spend my hard earned money on another.  So let me re-iterate. This is a nice, sturdy and functional rack but there is really no way to tell if your bikes are secure and if you tighten the bikes down too much, you'll break the rack

Swagman XC2 - Overview

 So this is gonna be like a quick overview of the Swagman XC2 bike rack. I'm

 gonna be showing you how I take it off, how to put them back on, and some road

 tests. So one of the things that I really like about this bike rack is that it has

 these very simple to use hooks which mount the or secure the bikes onto this

 rack. I've seen other bike racks where you have similar to this but you have to

 put like a strap in the middle and that's kind of annoying because sometimes

 you have to rotate the wheels. It just has to fall into place as you can see

 here. Both wheels fall into place. This is a 2010 Ford Focus SES. It is the hitch.

 Here is a the one on the vehicle is a inch and a quarter and then the unit the

 Swagman XC bike rack comes with a two inch adapter as well as fits the inch

 and a quarter pitches. There's pins here that allow you to remove or raise this

 and this these two arms up when it's not in use. One of the things to note is that

 both my drivetrains on both bikes are facing away from this center post and

 that just makes it easier to mount the or place the bikes onto here. This is a

 29 inch wheel on the road bike and the mountain bike has a 27 and a half inch.
