Kuat Sherpa 2.0

I got a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 at the beginning of this year and I feel like such a chump for taking my wheels off and putting it in the trunk for the last while.

Kuat clearly let the art department take the lead on this design. They went out of their way to make everything smooth and curvy, but at some expense to everything else. The primary structural joints are a manufacturing nightmare, and there's not much adjustability. Buy this if you want a bike rack ...

I just picked up a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 rack. Solid piece of equipment, looks great too.

They need to make it more rugged or remove the sticker that says to use on paved roads only. If I would have seen that sticker sooner I would have not bought this rack or would have returned it.

I went with the Kuat Sherpa because it weighs only 32 lbs compared to 50+. It’s a wonderful rack if you only have 1-2 bikes to carry.

Installation should be easy, but one of the long bolts was cross threaded from the factory. I was able to make it work, but not ideal. For the money I was hoping for a cleaner fit.

A hitch mounted bike rack could be easily moved between two vehicles if you install a hitch on both of them. I went with the Kuat Sherpa because it's one of the lightest ones at 35lbs.

Was all set to buy a 1up and then the owner of the company gave us a Kuat Sherpa as a wedding gift a few years back. Although it's a great rack, next rack will be a 1up for sure. Best rack on the market to date. ENJOY!!!
