 As a part of the new 2022 revamp of the Much Love Arctis range, SteelSeries brings you the new and

 that consistent high quality audio specially designed to enhance your gameplay experience.

 Taking it out of the box you instantly see the headset along with a little parcel housing all

 of your connection cables. As a wired headset you will need a whole host of cables to help

 you connect to all of your devices. You get a USB-C to USB-C perfect for PS5 connection,

 a USB-C to USB-A adapter for PC and a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. They're all decent in length too,

 roughly measuring just under 5 foot so you'll never feel tethered to any machine.

 When looking into getting a new headset I know it's incredibly important to know what

 it's compatible with. I love that SteelSeries have made a point on clarifying the compatible

 platforms just on the front of the box. The Nova 3 works wonderfully with PC and PS5 but

 First thought is that they look perfect for dual use blending in nicely for my daily commute while

 easily transforming into a gaming headset when the time comes. SteelSeries have listened to

 feedback and have created a much more improved style for better adjustment and comfort on the

 whole. The plastic build frame is sturdy and pretty hard wearing with a slight rubbery texture over

 the logo for added grip. There's definitely a lot less points here that are weak to breakage so you

 know it'll definitely hold up over time especially when taking it in and out of bags and carrying it

 loose on you. The onboard controls sit directly within reach and as it's wired only house the

 necessary switches and buttons for most used alterations like a mic mute button, a volume

 scroll wheel and a USB-C input. Along the top there's a super soft stretchy support headband

 that adjusts slightly to suspend the headset for ultimate comfort. As mentioned earlier though

 they are a brilliant dual purpose pair of headphones for both day to day and gamer use.

 At first glance they appear as a usual set of wired black headphones but by flicking the RGB

 light switch on the side and deploying the microphone the Nova 3 instantly transformed

 to look at home within your gaming setup. If like me you instantly fall for anything with RGB lights

 then the Nova 3 is right up your street. As the only headset in the Nova range to feature

 customisable RGB it definitely stands out more than the other variants. Using the SteelSeries

 GG app you can use this visually pleasing control panel to choose your own light patterns and of

 course picking out your own colours helping to match it perfectly to your gaming setup colour scheme.

 Now the lights aren't necessarily bright but you can adjust the strength within the app and sadly

 they won't work when connected via 3.5mm connection but they do offer a little bit of style compared

 to the other headsets in the range. Even as the higher end budget model it shares the same

 breathable airweave membrane foam cushions on the air cups and the sizing is just perfect enough to

 sit over your ears comfortably with plenty of room around them. If you're always checking for the

 left and right indicators before putting on the headset then you'll also love the oversized L and

 R on the inside of the cups ensuring the right fit every time. Putting them on they almost feel

 like you're not wearing headphones at all. This is all thanks to that lightweight build they feel

 weightless while still offering a good clamping force offering that slight noise cancelling effect.

 Over a few hours they feel nice and comfortable which is perfect for those long gaming sessions.

 I'm wearing them at almost max extension so they are pretty versatile for head sizes ranging between

 a small child to an adult. I feel that they could have had a bit more leeway on the height extension

 but they by no means feel small. Taking them in hand they're nice and flexible with rotatable

 ear cups, wide flex to left and right and brilliant extension perfect for most average head sizes.

 I even love the removable cable as it makes it easy to transport and pack away and of course

 reduces the chance of getting that crackling and distortion from fixed cable connections over time.
