Best iPhone 12 Case of 2022 - GearLab

 In comparison to the rugged case I’ve been using for my current phone (12 pro), the design and appearance looks much sleeker.  Overall, every case I’ve owned from this brand has surpassed my expectations, which is why they’ve gained my loyalty.  Ultimately, I’m still not sure if I’ll keep this particular case since it’ll depend on whether it gets more comfortable in my hand with use. If not, I’ll just exchange it for a different style

  I don’t think it’s a random defect since I saw at least one other review that mentioned an issue with the bottom edges. They almost feel sharp, but not in a way that’s painful, just noticeable. With that said, it might be something that you get used to or that becomes less noticeable as you use the case.  I’ve owned two Spigen cases for my last four iPhones, with one being a heavier duty case for when I take my phone somewhere I might want added protection, like camping or hiking

  Ultimately, I’m still not sure if I’ll keep this particular case since it’ll depend on whether it gets more comfortable in my hand with use. If not, I’ll just exchange it for a different style. If you’ve never tried a Spigen case, I think you’ll be please with your purchase.

 There is a small lip around the screen and the camera enclosure, and the back corners are raised slightly to *almost* match the height of the camera lip and prevent the back from wobbling when lying on a flat surface. Sadly, my phone still wobbles a bit.  Additional downsides: the stupid and dorky Spigen branding all around the edges of the case. I accept it because the case was cheap, but seriously, Spigen, NO ONE wants your name branded all over their $1000 iPhone

 Now you have a Pacific Blue camera lens unit surrounded by a big hunk of silvery plastic. If you shine a light at it just right, you'll see a glimmer of blue underneath. I don't blame Spigen for this, but I think this will be the last clear case that'll I'll ever buy. My plan is to buy a nicer-looking opaque case once I spot the right one

Grippy and pretty durable

Spigen cases have been my go-to for a while now, this option did not disappoint. While my goal was to find the thinnest, skin like transparent case possible, I realized because of the materials required to make an optically clear case. Manufactures are limited on how thin they can go. The feel of this case is good, its not rock hard plastic and it's not super soft, it's right in the middle

 The only problem here is Qi chargers. It causes the phone to sit too far from the surface of my Qi charge and wont make the connection. This may not apply to all Qi chargers, just letting you know my experience. The side buttons for volume and lock are flush with the bezel, they do not protrude like other cases

 So, if you have an Apple Watch, you can go ahead and put that on there too. And it levels out perfectly with your device. I mean, obviously this is a jumbo size battery pack, but it's going to work for you. So, it levels out flush right there

 These are some of the thinnest cases you could possibly ever get. It's like it's not even there. They do have a tempered glass on here. So, you know, I suggest that if you're going to use one of their cases, definitely use a tempered glass

This is NOT a case! It’s a coating, maybe a film?… and that might be exactly what you are looking for. This is a thin plastic film that will slightly roughen the texture of your iPhone surface. Imagine covering your phone in masking tape. Similar texture and thickness
