The X-Doria Defense Shield uses a crystal clear backing with excellent overall protection. Its flexible thermoplastic skeleton is quite strong with an anodized metal edge and a thick rubberized bumper. The phone fits quite snug into the case with its deep bezel, offering incredible camera protection. The 10-foot drop rating is trust-inspiring and one that's said to keep your phone safe. In our tests, it did do exactly that. The buttons are easy to use, clickable, and responsive. Furthermore, this phone uses a front-facing speaker &#40;for video or music&#41; that directs sound waves forward instead of down. As a result, it offers an "amplified" sound effect. We also like the price that is fair for its level of protection.
Unfortunately, all clear phones we tested easily get scratched, and if not careful, can look thrashed after just a few weeks of hard use. The case has a really snug fit, so know that getting your phone out of it can be difficult. While the phone does amplify sound from the music speaker, it does not amplify the sound from the earpiece, which can be misleading for some consumers if you look at the website. Though we tested several clear plastic models in this review, the Spigen is one of the most flexible and scratch-resistant options out there. It offers a bit of protection for the screen itself with its raised lip.  
As with all options in this review, the Spigen has raised buttons on the side to aid in operating the side buttons on the iPhone. The CASEKOO Crystal Clear is not without its flaws. The grippy rubber helps in some situations but also makes sliding the case in and out of your pocket more difficult than other models. Our team noticed that the slot for the silent switch is fairly small, making the toggle a bit difficult to operate. Although the rubber undoubtedly adds a degree of drop protection, the CASEKOO doesn't come with any durability certifications. If you're looking for a case to protect your phone during extended travel or backcountry adventures, it's probably worth spending more on a beefier model. But if you're shopping for a case on a tight budget, this is the one.

If you like the size and weight of your bare phone but still want to protect it from scratches, we recommend the Totallee Thin case. Weighing next to nothing, it's unlikely that you'll feel any difference in weight with this model installed on your phone. It's razor-thin and hardly adds any bulk, either. Despite its thin profile, it still features a raised bezel around your screen and camera lenses to protect the glass when you place your phone on a flat surface. While many cases hinder the operation of phone buttons or the silent toggle, the Totallee Thin maintains full functionality.
