Earlier this year I bought a TCL 5 series TV. I've tried three different soundbars (TCL Alto 6+, TCL Alto 8i, and now Hisense HS218) and all of them cause lag on my Switch and PS4. I connected all of them via eARC with a brand new HDMI cable so I could control the volume with the Roku remote. Unfortunately when I use the Switch or PS4, there is a delay in when I use the control and when the TV responds

According to Sony this is normal. This is a definite negative feature of this sound bar.

Out-of-the-box, this soundbar has a fairly neutral, though somewhat dark and boomy sound profile due to the extra bass and recessed treble range. As a result, vocals and lead instruments are reproduced pretty clearly, but they can also sound veiled. No option for a wired connection to the woofer. Included optical cable. It also has hdmi arc but I use the optical. Wish it had better control on the top of the sound bar

Right now the Multibeam is $200 off in Canada so I want to pick one up. But do many people have any idea if it's good?

You can control the sound from the tv but can’t change anything or turn the sub up or down without this remote.

Nice system, brought it in July just opened it was waiting to move. No remote in box I asked if a remote came with it was told yes. But it was been a while since I bought it so can't return it. I end up buying a remote

Can't use the manual buttons on the sound bar if it is mounted flush to the bottom of the TV. Poor design

The user interface could be better. There is a dedicated button for Bluetooth, but the ARC connection is on HDMI2 and it requires several button presses to get back to it from Bluetooth. When there is only 1 device physically connected, it is annoying to have to press the source button repeatedly to get back to the TV. It’s really easy to leave it on Bluetooth and then not have the TV sound go through

Positives: small size, easy set up, versatile use using bluetooth, likely longterm durability due to direct powered rather than battery.

Finally, my big screen has the Roku TV built-in and this model is designed to work with my TV. The sound bar will work great for any TV, but if you have one with the Roku TV built-in, then this feature is a must, since set up was so easy - just connect the HDMI cable (included!!!) from the sound bar to the TV, plug in the sound bar, and turn on the TV. The TV instantly recognized that the new sound bar was connected and ran through a quick self-setup. Once connected the sound bar is controlled with the TV remote - it turns on and off automatically when you turn the TV on or off , volume up and down, etc
