Fanny packs have really seen a revival in recent years with festival-goers and concert crowds. The ability to carry your belongings hands-free makes all-day festivals all the more enjoyable. For us, there are a few key features that make the SoJourner fanny our favorite choice for all-day or multi-day events. First is the SoJourner's relatively roomy carrying capacity. This fanny more than fit our standardized hip pack "kit", with room to spare. We also appreciated the three zippered pockets of varying sizes to keep items organized. The fact that this one comes in lots of fun patterns and color options is an added plus. And the cherry on top is its affordability. If you need something to carry with you on your next all-day, all-night party, the SoJourner fits the bill. 
Though it was comfortable for all-day use, the SoJourner has no padding in the bag itself. This wasn't a huge issue for us but could be a concern if comfort is your main priority. We also found the fit to be a tad off on this one. Its shape is tapered so that it is wider at the top than the bottom, which causes it to bounce around when walking. We preferred to wear this one in front or on the side, rather than in the back because its shape is not flattering.

So I bought a fanny pack for my upcoming cruise that I'll be working from and want to carry two phones. One for work emails and the other for personal camera use and such. Not only is this fanny pack cute without being over the top, it has sp much space! I keep adding more to it and there is still more space. Now I can't fit my lap top in there but I'm super impressed

I bought this because I go to a fair number of festivals and concerts where it's nice to not have to carry a purse around. The pineapple pattern is cute and unique, and the fit is comfortable. My only critique is that the belt is very long and there isn't a good way to secure it so it's not hanging down like a tail or hitting the back of your legs as you walk. Otherwise a good product

 The material feels easy to clean and although it's not particularly thick or heavy feeling, it doesn't feel so thin as to be flimsy either. The sewing seems well done and sturdy and I'm generally quite pleased with the fanny pack.  Update: I changed my review from 5 to 4 stars due to new things that I noticed after some use.  After wearing this item every day for 4 days during a trip (I wore it for pretty much the entire day all 4 days), the seams attaching the frontmost pocket started coming undone (see picture)

 There's 3 main pockets, the larger middle pocket, a surprisingly large front pocket, and a very discreet small pocket in the back closest to your body (designed for slim things like money or cards). The main pocket can comfortably fit a plastic waterbottle, my smartphone, a bunch of plastic doggie bags, and my keys - this thing is gigantic!  I have to wear the waist band at it's shortest length and it was still a bit loose despite the fact that I'm a decently hip heavy medium. So be warned that for tinier people, this fanny pack may just slip right off you.  The material seems to be made of an outdoor fabric so I'm guessing it is mildly water resistant, but probably won't survive an actual dunking in water (I have not tested this out yet fully beyond some perspiration which it withstood, but keep in mind that the teeth of zippers are never water tight so water would definitely have a chance to get in)

This review is for the "SoJourner Bags Fanny Pack", 3/20/2017. A few people have complained this bag was too small, I was concerned it would be too large, but it's not, its just right for me. My "phablet" sized phone is too large to fit in the front pocket but fits just fine in the middle pocket. In fact, even better

 It has a firm, tidy shape and the zippers all work smoothly. It has a two-way zipper for the large middle pocket. I did not receive a discount for this product and this review is entirely voluntary.

size is okay and lots of room on belt to wear on hip, however the rimmed plastic or other material area along front edge of first section may not last, would have been much better without it.

 I probably wouldn't carry that much stuff for just walking the dog. But I flew Spirit airlines, so to avoid having to pay for a carry-on I crammed as much as I could into the fanny pack! The rest went into my backpack.  So to summarize, this little pack is great. I've only had it for less than a week, but I can tell it's going to serve me well for a long time to come

 I stuffed it to the gills and everything feels very secure. The belt is wide, well-constructed, and comfortable. The belt clasp is secure and easy to manipulate. The zippers are well-crafted

This is perfect for the hipster dog mom that wants something cute AND functional. Things I can carry, credit card, ID, keys, phone, ball, full dog poo bag, and a leash inside. I feel like Mary Poppins honestly.

 In terms of padding and general feel, the Tinyat and the Waterfly Slim both felt great against the body, whether worn in front or back. These packs are long and narrow with a tiny bit of padding in the back, which makes them low profile and comfortable. The Veckle Clear was one of our least favorites in this metric because the plastic material felt a bit sticky against the skin, especially on warm days or when exercising. 

 We assessed their design — making notes about zippers, pockets, materials used, and overall construction. We made sure to check the waist belt of each one, noting which packs were adjustable and which ones were not. These side-by-side tests, combined with our previous experience with all things fanny pack, helped us create a comprehensive, unbiased assessment of the top packs on the market.
