SoJourner Black Rose vs JanSport Fifth Ave Fanny Pack

So I bought a fanny pack for my upcoming cruise that I'll be working from and want to carry two phones. One for work emails and the other for personal camera use and such. Not only is this fanny pack cute without being over the top, it has sp much space! I keep adding more to it and there is still more space. Now I can't fit my lap top in there but I'm super impressed

While they are perfect for carrying a light lunch, a book, and a beach towel, I’d never use them for a full heavy load.

I bought this because I go to a fair number of festivals and concerts where it's nice to not have to carry a purse around. The pineapple pattern is cute and unique, and the fit is comfortable. My only critique is that the belt is very long and there isn't a good way to secure it so it's not hanging down like a tail or hitting the back of your legs as you walk. Otherwise a good product

Has two pockets, the main large pocket, and the smaller front pocket. Both have ample room and easily carry my wallet, keys, sunglasses, chapstick, etc. The belt part is comfortable and easily adjustable. I highly recommend this pack for anyone who wants to be comfortable and have an easy way to embarrass your teenagers while walking around the mall shopping for a homecoming dress

The material feels easy to clean and although it's not particularly thick or heavy feeling, it doesn't feel so thin as to be flimsy either. The sewing seems well done and sturdy and I'm generally quite pleased with the fanny pack. Update: I changed my review from 5 to 4 stars due to new things that I noticed after some use. After wearing this item every day for 4 days during a trip (I wore it for pretty much the entire day all 4 days), the seams attaching the frontmost pocket started coming undone (see picture)

Otherwise the bag has been extremely durable; even though I occasionally stuff it quite full, I've never had problems with the seams or zipper, and the fabric does not appear worn or faded.

It has a firm, tidy shape and the zippers all work smoothly. It has a two-way zipper for the large middle pocket. I did not receive a discount for this product and this review is entirely voluntary.

Beyond aesthetics, this pack is also well-made and durable with a narrow, highly adjustable waist strap. The design is versatile, as the pack can be worn like a sling bag or around the waist. When worn in a traditional way, the JanSport is low-profile and doesn't bounce around when walking. Plus, the Fifth Ave is one of the more reasonably priced packs in this review, adding to its appeal

size is okay and lots of room on belt to wear on hip, however the rimmed plastic or other material area along front edge of first section may not last, would have been much better without it.

This was a problem because of the content of the pack. (I cut the second pull tab off, leaving the slider body intact. Now for each compartment there's a single pull tab and zipping/unzipping happens in the same direction.)

Like I said, I packed it to the gills. And when it's stuffed that much it's heavy, but honestly, it wasn't uncomfortable, and it felt way better than carrying it on my shoulder in my purse which I usually carry. I probably wouldn't carry that much stuff for just walking the dog. But I flew Spirit airlines, so to avoid having to pay for a carry-on I crammed as much as I could into the fanny pack! The rest went into my backpack

I wish the strap were a little longer though. I’m about 250lbs and I wanna wear it across my chest like all the cool kids are doing, but I’m guess I’m just too fat to look good in Jansport’s book. Or like, an optional longer strap that I would buy for an upcharge even, whatever. We’re in the ‘Eat our Feelings Great Depression’, not the ‘Starvation Conditions Great Depression’

This is perfect for the hipster dog mom that wants something cute AND functional. Things I can carry, credit card, ID, keys, phone, ball, full dog poo bag, and a leash inside. I feel like Mary Poppins honestly.

Buy it if you want a good quality decently sized fanny pack so that your pockets are not always clutter. It's why I bought it and I am happy to have done so.
