 It's fairly simple to work with, allowing for a wide range of adjustability, and there's near limitless potential for expansion and modification down the line. Aimed at the mid-level market, the Gt1 Evo currently retails for 399 Euros without shipping. that's roughly 360 pounds in the Uk or 470 in the Us. While you could probably source the aluminium profile slightly cheaper, the advantage of purchasing a kit like this is that everything comes pre-cut with soft edges to fit together perfectly

 The channels in the profile serve as ideal housing for cable management, and Sim Lab can even supply you with covers to hide exposed wiring. While it might take a bit longer than other eggs to set up and make adjustments, the Gt1 Evo allows you to fine-tune the position of your equipment down to the millimeter so you can get everything positioned in the exact place you want it. In my case, this meant that I was able to bump the seat forward along with the wheel and pedals to keep the footprint of the rig as small as possible. Additionally, by adding a seat slider, the rig can be easily adjusted to fit Sim races of different heights

 But if you start taking Sim racing more seriously and pursue ever greater realism as most of us end up doing, you'll likely run into a few issues. Maybe you bolt a shifter here, or a handbrake there, and before you know it, you've run out of mounting points. Or perhaps you upgrade to a load cell brake pedal and you find that there's no easy way to reinforce the pedal deck. The point is that you need a Sim Racing cockpit that can adapt as you upgrade your equipment, and that's exactly what the Sim Lab Gt1 Evo is

I'm looking into going DD and with that I want to move away from using desk mounts and get a dedicated rig. After some research Ricmotec seems to be the only place based in the USA that sells chassis, but I'm not really loving most of the options from them. 

I'm looking for an extruded aluminum style for future modularity with my flight sim gear, something similar to the sim lab gt1 styles. Seems like a lot of these styles are coming out of the UK and I'm terrified to know what shipping to California would cost. 

TL;DR-looking for aluminum extrusion style chassis that would ship out of the US or do I just suck it up and order from Europe

Sim rigs in the USA

I have a GT1-Evo and I absolutely love it.  Great product.  Just keep in mind the cost of a seat.  I bought the Sparco slider from Sim-Lab and use a NRG Prisma seat and it seems to be a great combo

Thoughts on the GT1-EVO?

 This is for me, very, very important and I was really annoyed by the plate that was moving alongside me pressing the brake pedal. and once you get used to it, it's it's okay. But why buying a strong brake pedal when your plate is moving? In this case, in this, uh, super super strong pedal plate, you won't feel anything and there is absolutely no flex, which I must say I really, really adore The second thing I really appreciate: there are no sounds and the noises squeaking and squealing while you're moving in your chair. If you're live streaming, that's something really a positive and uh, something I'm really happy about

 There are a couple of things I would want to point out why this rig is a real upgrade and improvement from my previous which was the playseat evolution. Okay, first of all is the pure quality, strength, and the rigidness of the rig itself. There is no flex when you are using load cell pedals. There is no flex of your uh, wheelbase mount when you are turning in when you have a stronger force, Feedback turned on and so and so on

 I found that the single monitor mount did not work for me so I had to be creative and extend the depth and gap from actual holder to monitor itself. What they must emphasize is that the quality of materials is really very high and it makes your life much easier and gives you much more confidence when you're doing the Asm. Once you finish, don't celebrate too early because round two in this epic battle awaits. You need to put wheel pedals monitor so more adjusting is needed

 splurge on new kit whenever the mood takes us with a fixed rig, this can prove problematic as I found myself my old rig had become a mishmash of parts, jerry-rigged components and repurposed brackets thrown together to try and get everything to work nicely. With an aluminium extrusion rig, you have the ability to add, remove, or alter things very easily. it's dead simple. Slide in a couple of tea nuts and bolt on another length of extrusion and mounting accessories is equally simple as the whole thing's modular, which makes the mounting hardware straightforward and affordable

 But beyond that, having a reliable and stable platform helps both performance and immersion as I can devote more of my focus to the Sim itself beyond the dependability of the build. Where a rig like this really shines is in the flexibility with which you can mount your Sim racing hardware. this has been a bugbear of mine with previous rigs which have needed gradual upgrades and modifications to cope with my ever-evolving Sim racing setup. So the Simlab Gty is a very competent Simurgh, but moreover, it's pretty competitively priced as well

 At around 400 Euros depending on the options you select, it stacks up pretty well against the competition course since you have to buy the seat separately. This does have a bearing on the final cost of the rig, but that can range from a few quid for a second-hand car seat from eBay up to a full FIA approved carbon-fiber GT seat that costs enough for your friends to hold an intervention I Went for a spa CO sports seat mainly because it has to look nice on camera, but otherwise a budget Sport and bucket seats are easy to get hold of if you want to keep costs under control. For me, the killer feature of the Gt1 Evo is its expand ability. For many of us, Sim racing is a hobby that we stick with for a long time and we tend to tweak our setups upgrade, side grade, downgrade, and just plain old
