I got a simlab GT1 EVO and couldn’t be happier with it :) incredibly sturdy rig and you can mount any seat you like to it :)

I built a GT1 Evo using a seat from a Saab 9-5, since having flat rails is straightforward to fix into the aluminium profiles.

In other words, I would recommend to pay a visit to your local scrapyard or take a look into eBay Kleinanzeigen.

SimLab GT1 Evo. It is a great rig for the money and you can extend it at any time according to your needs. In addition, it is currently discounted.

The GT1 Evo will be the best option out there in that price range (I just got it for $699 locally in Toronto, online is even cheaper but didn't want any surprises with customs fees). It'll also be the most modular rig you can get thanks to the 80/20 profile and not to mention you end up with a lot of extra parts for future add-ons. Whether or not of you're a handy person, I would recommend watching the installation video as a reference as you're taught a lot of tips that would make everything even easier than it already is.

I suspect a playseat challenge would be more comfortable than that, and cheaper.

I think I'm right in saying a simlab GT1 Evo and a cheapish seat won't run you much more than $450 and it would be infinitely better than that.

My suggestion would be to get something like the SimLab GT1 Evo with a seat of your choice. It easily meets your dimensional and budgetary requirements, can be ordered with casters (I'd suggest two or even three sets to distribute the weight more evenly), and will accommodate any type of seat.
