Shark IONFlex vs Kobalt KWDV 0124B-03

I would look into returning it but we are beyond the 30 days. What will I do? Buy a Miele and use this one for the quick jobs. Now for the issues: The rating is a 3 primarily because we have a golden retriever and it is not optimal for longer fur animals though I think it would be fine for short hair dogs. The fur has gotten trapped in the small wheels that are adjacent to the silver roller with the orange bristles and has jammed them

Perhaps most importantly, this machine really sucks (in the good sense of the word!) It draws up wet and dry materials like a twister has taken them.

Easy and convenient to use, but at the end of every vacuuming the head drops a lot of debris. So light,and battery lasts, but this cannot suck like my Kirby. Good for dust maybe

I love Kobalt Tools, they are user friendly and this one is no different. Since it is a 24 volt tool you can use batteries from your other tools. I am terrible about knocking containers over and when I work in the garage, I spill anything that will turn over and this guy is a great helper in cleaning up my spills. Before the vac I would have to run to the cabinet to get a towel to get up the liquid and then sweep or blow the small pieces in the yard but not now

For about 10 years, we have used a Dyson Animal upright vac, which has been amazing at getting hair and dirt out of the carpets. The Dyson is an exceptional vacuum, but it's quite large, and heavy, and it's corded. We wanted to try a cord-free vacuum, and were impressed by the features and reviews for the Shark IONFlex 2x, so we gave it a try. There are good and bad points, when taken in consideration -

In the end I was down two bars on the battery and had to give Kobalt just 4 out of 5 stars due to the lack of attachments and such a short hose, however, in the end I would recomend this for quick clean ups, would I use it for serious messes in my detailing business maybe for light stuff but for the deep down stuff your gonna want a more powerful unit.

I’m not sure if it was a faulty one or if they just aren’t as good as they say they are but I would not buy this vacuum again. I’ve loved shark vacuums but this is a no go for me. Guess I’ll just have to dip more money into the less portable one…

Last but not least ran it over all the floor moldings. I was impressed with the amount of suction throughout the use. Emptying the dirt cup was a little wonky but now that I know what to do it's not bad. I would definitely recommend the second battery (ordered mine today) and I picked up the motorized pet tool to do the couches

The unit has more suction than a handheld dustbuster, but it doesn't have as much suction as a Dyson v8, or a corded shop vacuum. Where Kobalt tools generally outperform for the price, this tool is not one of those cases.

of carpet space is easy to cover on half a battery charge. We recommend getting additional filters so you can load one in while the washed one dries. If you have a lot of sq. footage you may want to consider getting an extra battery

Very satisfied with the power and capacity, but there is a flaw. You cannot use any form of filter bag with this unit. The inlet to the holding chamber is simply an open hole. I always use filter bags combined with helpa filters in shop vacuum for fine dust filtration both for added dust control and ease of emptying

I love it! Change is hard and after years with a Dyson, I really was not interested in trying something new. My husband really wanted something where the battery could charge separately. Shark has been very thoughtful about their design. There are three attachments, but two of the attachments can transform into other attachments

Yes the vacuum is portable but I don't think most of us want to constantly carry the vacuum in one hand and the hose in the other. I should also point out that the title "Shop Vacuum" is correct as it doesn't crossover well with the attachments provided for use around the house. Those points aside, nice design and good suction power. I'll still find uses for it
