So, currently have a Giant Trance 29 3, which has 130mm in the front, 115mm in the rear, both of which I'm bottoming out on my local Enduro trails.

I have been riding the local Enduro trails a lot this year, steep, rocky, rooty, with some jumps. The climb is basically a vertical access road. I also ride some typical New England trails, so I don't necessary need an Enduro specific bike, as it's not all I will be riding.

Budget I'm aiming for is under $5k, with the biggest stipulation being there are very few bike shops near me. Local carries Trek and Revel, most other shops are 2 hours+ away, so if ordering online is an option, I'd like that. I drove about 2.5 hours to pick up the bike I have now, so I'm open to that option for the right bike.

I don't know how much more travel I *need*, but I definitely need more. I like 29, but I've never ridden 27.5, not sure what's best there.

So, shoot me some recs to check out over the winter season.

Need to upgrade, looking to spend no more than $5k

They're overpriced and poor value, but they're great bikes overall. Owned a Bronson and a Chameleon, enjoyed them both, really well made bikes. With that being said, their re-sell value is insane, especially during the great bike shortage. Sold both my SC's in the last 2 years, both sold within 24hrs of posting, above bike blue book value

What is you opinion on Santa Cruz bikes

The bronson is great too, but it doesn’t have a lock out, which is a nice feature to have for rides that are heavier on climbing. I’m also not so much of a fan of the dropper post that comes stock with it, but that can be changed I guess. Price range is 5-6k, so I’m probably looking at the cheapest model of the SB 150 and the middle tier model for the Bronson.

Santa Cruz is known for making some of the best bikes in the industry, and their attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship are second to none. The Bronson line made its debut all the way back in 2013, and once again Santa Cruz has set its sights high and released the third iteration of the bike for 2019. We took the new Bronson Carbon C with the "S" build out for extended testing in the Pacific Northwest and came away extremely impressed with its updated suspension on technical descents, comfortable climbing position, and well-thought-out component choices. Below we break down the 2019 Bronson’s descending and climbing performance, key features, components and specs, and other versions in the line

 While this might be appropriate for exceptionally tall or short riders, it isn’t necessarily true for those of average height. You might hear or read online that if you’re under around 5’6”, you should stick to 27.5-inch wheels. And while this might have been the case when these wheel sizes were in their infancy, most people can now find well-fitting 29ers

 All else equal, if you’re tall and enjoy relatively straight singletrack with few hairpin turns, we’d wager you’ll be happy on a 29er. However, if you’re fairly short and enjoy tight and twisty trails, you might prefer 27.5-inch wheels. But don’t let your height be the determining factor—you might find that you favor the stability of a 29er regardless of how tall you are

 During my second ride on the Bronson, I cautiously rolled up to the top of the wet slab, and as I peered down the face, didn’t really know what to expect. The new bike was far from being dialed in, but I was (fairly) confident in my ability to make it down unscathed. I nosed over the roll in, let off the brakes, and went for it. What had been a fairly jarring experience on my Hightower LT turned into a surprisingly smooth ride (not magic carpet ride smooth, but pretty darn close)

* Full suspension: Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp - great condition. The guy said it's from 2007. He kept it well maintained and comes with a bleed kit.

It sounds like the type of riding you'll be doing puts you in the full suspension category. The stumpjumper has always been a great platform.

Can't Decide Against Hardtail vs Full-Sus...

 I will say however my santa cruz had it all over the evil on paint finish, and frame finishing.

I am trying to decide between some bikes with a lifetime frame warranty. I've found an Evil Offering GX build, and a Santa Cruz Bronson C S MX build. Would love a hightower, but can't find one right now. I've heard that the offering is super playful, but seems like most people agree SC's customer service is hard to beat. Just looking to get some opinions from people that have owned some of these.
