As video games are not my primary activity, my preference is obvious. - Rubber base = easy setup. Some hard-surfaced pads are finicky in terms of what they will grip, and folding them will ruin them - not so with this pad. It always lays down flat and smooth, and has no memory of being rolled up or folded

This mousepad is legitimately comfortable, to the point that I almost don't even need my wrist rest. It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, and hangs off the edges of the platform I use my mouse on. This is irrelevant however, because the harder material is almost like its own little tabletop. The only give it has comes when you apply unrealistic force, and chances are you would never even notice it in the middle of a game as it doesn't even affect the tracking

For this mousepad, I ordered the medium size to use with a Logitech G305 and can confidently say it was well worth the purchase. The packaging it comes in is very nice. It's comfortable to use and lay my hand/arm on and is smooth to the touch. I haven't quite used it for gaming yet (though I intend to), but I have used it for some graphic design projects (which require A LOT of mouse movement and aiming sometimes) and this mousepad really does its job in providing smooth movement
