 You can see it's pretty big If I had to guess I'd probably say eight and a half by twelve possibly and I would say you have your braided USB cable and your Nice razor stickers as well as the instruction manual and you know the typical warranty information stuff You'll find from other razor stuff real quick before we plug it in Um, it is actually a very soft and bendable material as you can see So it's not some hard piece of plastic that's gonna you know Crack or break on you and it is a lot thinner than I expected after looking at there You know initial photos of it being released. It looked a lot thicker, but this is actually really thin probably the same Height as my actual cloth mouse pad right now. So let's plug it in and we'll get it fired up So the second I plugged it in it automatically booted up the driver for it to download in the razor synapse software and The first effect is going to be breathing you can pick from any two colors or a random color To make it breathe those colors kind of like pulse in and out of the colors you pick The next one is reactive and this one's really cool because if you have a supported razor mouse whenever you click on the mouse It's the mouse pad itself will like flash and pulse to the clicks on the mouse. That's pretty cool I should pick one up now is the spectrum cycling effect And this is just going to cycle through all the colors at once so it'll go from like yellow to orange To red, you know then from like green to teal to blue So it's kind of like cycles through the colors with really nice smooth gradient effects Next up is static and that's obviously you just pick, you know one static color for it to shine So if you like green you can make it shine green all the time Or if you like red it will just shine red the entire time So you're picking that one static color for it to glow and then lastly is wave and wave is going to be everyone's favorite the most Appealing and that's that rainbow effect where it cycles through the entire rainbow of the spectrum of the colors and just looks really really cool Shines really nice bright and vibrant really really cool colors And again, you can go through like the rest of their software change the profiles and link it to different programs It's a really really easy to use software

Razer Firefly Review & Unboxing

Hard surface mouse pad is perfect for gaming. It's like my mouse goes skating! Completely smooth and easy to clean, the base layer sticks the mat to desk surface properly. I had Razer Sphex V2 hard surface mouse mat before, it's just fantastic. And I bought this for Chroma sync with my other Razer devices

My mouse goes skating

 Maybe the only downside is the weight because it's a chunky one so it will add to the load when traveling. I weighed it around about 720 grams here or there, so it's heavier than some keyboards, so this is a good pad. It's probably going to last quite a while. It's been around for a long, long time as well

 This provides extra comfort and support when gaming, but there is another reason as well. I find that thicker pads are really good for those that maybe don't have the best quality desks. For example, when I go to some line events, it's a bit of a dice roll on whether or not you get a good desk or not, and sometimes there's a few lumps and chips. Normally I would have to bring two mouse pads to lessen the effect of these, but with a thicker one, it might not be that much of an issue

  I knocked off two stars due to the way it's packaged. It comes rolled up tight in a cardboard cube, ensuring it will never sit flat ever again on at least one of its edges.

 While I'm sure this pad would still be profitable at a lower price, I feel good about giving a company $10 for such a well-thought-out product.  I have only used this product for a few weeks, so I cannot speak to its long-term durability, though it certainly seems resilient so far. I will update this review if and when it degrades.  One final thought - I usually dislike visible branding on my products, even stylish branding like the logo on Apple laptops, but I don't mind the logo on this pad

 - The right size. It's large compared to a normal mouse pad - maybe 50% larger in each dimension - but smallish compared to some gaming mousepads. It ends up feeling large yet not quite unwieldy. The size is appreciated - I no longer need to worry about centering the mouse on the pad, and my palm usually rests on the pad, not its edge

  I think the $10 price is reasonable. I believe that this is one of many products that is priced according to design more than materials; too often, the designers of such products get arrogant and think their good design justifies a 50%, 100%, 1000% markup on cost, but not here. Perfect mousepad for me - not durable

. That pad has flattened out and isn't tearing up the mouse feet after months of usage.

It came rolled up in a steelseries box with a little opening for people to feel the pad. The pad is rough no getting around it. Surely, it couldn't have started off this way? Did it get too hot in some run-down warehouse or something and partially melt? It has gotten slightly smoother with use but still feels rough. Steelseries logo isn't peeling but is wrinkled in places
