If you have more than one coffee drinker in you family definately go with the 10 cup size. Is it worth the price? If it lasts more than 5 yrs I will say yes, I havent had luck with cheaper models in the past so we'll see.

Some people recommended closing the drip valve and stirring at specific intervals of the brew etc - I tried all of these methods - and I did not care for the outcome. What works best for me is to use a standard "American" ratio of 2T coffee to 6oz water. This takes some figuring out and some approximation because the cups listed on this machine are 4oz cups - so you'll have to do math (the horrors) - but that's the best ratio I've found for my own personal preference
