but huge bummer that it arrives damaged. You need to order additional ink cartridges or a bottle because the ink it comes with will be exploded and unusable due to the rigors of shipping.

My only quibble is the build quality of the grip where it screws into the body and the ink cartridge is attached. It's plastic and feels a little wonky when I screw it in or out - I fear it may not last long. It's a little cheap-feeling.

I actually want to like this pen. If this pen performed the way it feels this would be my go to pen. However, I did say if. As it turns out, it writes just OK but not what I would call good

The pen I received was plastic and not aluminum. Very disappointed with this purchase. UPDATED 16 June 2021 Order this pen from a different vendor and got the same pen. The reason I am giving this a 3-star review is that the pen is not full aluminum nor is the carry case, the outer body is maybe 40% and the rest is plastic

For me this is a negative; I wanted somethin hefty in my hand. The nib is supposed to be a medium sized, but it rights like the fine nib pen that I tested. It still wrote smoothly and consistently. It did not catch on the paper or snag

The weight of the pen (without the cap) feels perfect, a bit heavy on the back with the cap. The pen writes pretty well - but my nib (F) is really scratchy for some reason. I've used other LAMY Lx pens, and they felt extremely smooth to write with, so I'm wondering if I got a dud. I can't return it because of shipping fees (I live outside US)

**Pilot Metropolitan** - pretty good, better ones for the price. I bought my metro for 15$ and was kind of satisfied.

Pros: - Feels really good weight wise (very hefty for a pen). - Top Cover / top clicks very nicely to the base (feels very good to play with while thinking). - Fancy (10 points for Gryffindor?) - Easy to refill (I'm using the cartridges, takes 15 seconds to swap out the cartridge and makes very little, if any mess doing so). - Replacement cartridges are cheap (12 for ~$6), runs about the same (maybe a little less) than a pack of ballpoint pens

We looked at an LX, the last model that is, and other than potential quality there is absolutely zero reason to choose one over a Range Rover.
