What'S around you when you're, just trying to put on the jacket when you're in a jam, but because of the nature of the tendonia fabric, you do have to baby it a little bit and while we're on the subject, why the heck? Does this not have any internal drop pockets? I just want to keep my gloves warm while i'm not climbing, but all in all this is a solid jacket. Patagonia DAS Light || Review

This year Patagonia has released a lighter version of their iconic DAS “Dead Air Space” synthetic parka and after a month of testing the Patagonia DAS Light Hoody I can honestly say it’s a amazing piece! Without a doubt you won’t find a warmer and more bomb-proof synthetic belay jacket under 12 ounces.  For insulation Patagonia used 65 grams of down-like “PlumaFill”. This 100% recycled insulation truly feels as warm as high quality down yet has the advantage of still retaining heat should it get wet. You’ll have to go out of your way to get it wet though thanks to the almost seamless Pertex® Quantum Pro fabric with both a PU dry coating and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish

 My only suggestion is the left hand pocket that can be turned inside out to stuff the jacket needs to be a little bigger, it’s a bit of a challenge trying to get the jacket to stuff into that pocket. Here’s a quick video review I did on the jacket:

 It adds about 20 percent warmth to the jacket compared to the micro puff, but it is also about 20 heavier, so you can really choose which is perfect for your activity. There'S also a few different fit changes. They did with this as well, so it's slightly oversized. This is a large and it is quite big on me, but this is built to go over your waterproof if you're scottish winter, climbing etcetera, so it is probably the right size for me also

 Basically, a lot of people want to go for synthetic now. The downside with that is synthetics, usually don't loft up and give as much warmth for the weight as a down jacket would until this guy came along. So the micropuff was the first ever synthetic jacket that had an equivalent warmth to weight ratio as an 800 filth down jacket now, usually synthetics only usually get around sort of 550 600 fill down. Now, if you don't know what that means, the higher the quality of the feathers used in the jacket gives the jacket more fill power

 It can fill a void more. It has more power to do so, so the higher the number the more loft it has. So that means you can use less of it but keeps the weight down, and this is where synthetics usually let themselves down. Once you get to a synthetic jacket that has 800 phil loftinger capabilities, then you've got the best of both worlds: warmth to weight ratio and the joy that if it got wet it'd still be warm

 Msrp is, i believe, 329 and again, 65 grams of that pluma fill down like synthetic insulation and i've reviewed the micro puff, which is a great jacket. It'S a few ounces lighter than this. This is uh around 12 ounces for a size extra large, but i would i would pick this one over micropuff, that's saying quite a bit now i picked this one over other jackets i'll be reviewing here in this coming week as well, all of which are great Jackets and i'm not trying to bring that into the mix right here, but this jacket is really impressed. Me really really impressed me

The dos light hoodie, i would definitely say, check it out - it's about 3 29, a little bit more than the the micro puff, but you know the the price is steep, but i would definitely say it's worth it. Man. The proof is in the pudding with this piece: i've worn it for about four or five days now, and you know about 25 to 35 degree weather with winds, and you know have just been comfortable

 You want to have something which, with a slimmer profile but still provides you with a good amount of warmth. I would definitely say you got to take a look at the patagonia dash light hoodie all right, so just take a look at it guys, front side and back. Let me know if you guys are in the market for a piece like this good articulation all right. It'S pretty roomy, but just an awesome piece nicely shaped hood nice fabric

 You know in about 20 degree weather it's really impressive, because this jacket is so thin um. You know you wouldn't really think from looking at it and feeling it that it would be able to keep you warm uh. You know in temperatures down to the mid 20s uh and mid 30s, but you know i i have to really say honestly: i've been impressed. I'Ve worn it for about four days now, and you know even with gusting winds, you can feel the wind being deflected off of the shell

 If your hips or your lower body are a little bit slimmer, there may be some space in between your body and the hem. So that's definitely something to pay attention to and to keep in mind. For me, it works perfectly two nice raised hand warmer pockets, they're, not fleece, lined but they're, nice and roomy they're nice and raised, which is a nice comfortable, comfortable position for you to put your hands in napoleon pocket on the exterior nice and sizable keys phone uh. Anything you want to put in there chapstick, which is also nice uh, not a lot of stitching on the exterior
