The feature set on the R1 TechFace Hoody is very similar to many stretch-woven soft shells on the market now. It has two large zippered hand warming pockets, one zippered chest pocket, a two-way adjustable hood with a laminated brim, an adjustable hem, and stretch cuffs.

Jacket is great! Unfortunately even after spending a painfully long time reading the reviews to try and get my size right, I still got it wrong. I'm 5'4" and weigh 135 lbs and I ordered a small. If you go with a a 2lb framed pack and a double wall trekking pole tent 21-27oz you are probably going to be shooting for the 13lb base weight range. (with additional changes) If you want to get under 10lb you will definitely need to cut harder and at least go for a single wall tent.

You could easily wear just a long-sleeve shirt under this and be completely toasty. There are some specific handwashing instructions for the shell due to the waterproofing. Very happy with this purchase! I ordered and returned LL Bean and a Land's End coats because they weren't as well-made as this one. Definitely recommend!

Also has pockets. Overall I love this jacket so far! Havent taken it to the slopes yet but from what I've seen, I would buy again! Update: I have now had this jacket for going on 2 years and I still love it. Its my favorite winter jacket I own. With that said, this jacket is not good for snowboarding
