 In fact, the temperature seems to stay constant when cooking compared to the old one I had. I miss that the old one turned the light off once it was preheated. This one seems to keep the temperature constant and the light is on the entire time while cooking. It does get hot if you touch the stainless steel parts, but that’s to be expected and I wouldn’t trade it for an all black one as I like how it looks

The look of this is very sleek, and nice. It goes well on our countertop. It is still fairly new, but seems to work well. I think there have been a few goes that I underestimated the power, though

2. Good space on top of oven (I use this for keeping plates warm, heated food warm, so the toaster ovens with minimum space on top don't work well for me).

1. Black and Decker especially-- the slots on the grate are way too far apart.  I cook mini pancakes for breakfast a lot, and they fall through easily as it is, slots way too far apart would not be good for me. How cheap are they that they have to save money on the metal by putting the bars further apart?  Give me a break

 I wanted a decent-sized (large family) toaster oven without all kinds of digital features and convection, etc.  Here are general problems I found with toaster ovens on the market:

  Best to use Parchment Paper instead of foil on the pan that comes with it as foil increases the temperature.   I like the 60 min timer which is longer than others.  The large knobs and readable words are helpful for this older gal.  Overall I am happy with it and will update again later after using it for awhile

 I guess we will see. Lastly, I went to Target directly. This unit was on sale, but out of stock in the whole metro area. Unfortunately their website did not support the sale price

 I am very space constrained. Moving forward on the next oven I will likely get a more expensive, higher quality one.

 Obviously one cannot fit 1 12 in. anything in it and it comes with 1 rack and 1 small broiler pan and a crumb tray. 9 in. by 13 in pan will not fit

Incorrect product item description

It seems to be increasingly difficult to find a decently-priced Oster toaster oven now that the market has shifted to the air-fry $120-plus models.  This one here does everything you need but it likely won't fit that small casserole/ lasagna Pyrex dish that you're used to using.  Also, to save on shipping apparently, this is an open-box item that gets repacked and repackaged. Workers at the fulfillment center would do well to where gloves when handling as plenty of odd fingerprints were apparent all over the toaster oven

 Using the convection "Turbo" mode the temps were within 5 degrees of the set point and held steady within a 10 degree swing, pretty darn good for analog controls. I've made biscuits which turned out perfectly as well as a couple of small pizzas. I can see myself using this for many items that don't do so well in the microwave but the main reason I wanted one was for baking biscuits which it does beautifully. It looks nice on the counter and doesn't take up too much space which is a plus

I can't speak about the longevity factor of this one but I can tell you that after a great deal of reading reviews of other models and brands that NONE of them are perfect. Even the high end models seem to have plenty of premature failures

 This oven is perfect for 8 x 8 pan  . Some people are having trouble with toast but I did not.  Turn your knob timer past 20 until your element lites up then turn back to about 2 or 3 minutes watch it closely this oven gets hot quickly I would definitely purchase this item again next time around

The Top panel of the unit warns it will be hot, which is odd for a counter top toaster oven (people sometimes put things on them if they have a plastic top or it's right under a cupboard generally made of wood - this unit has fair height).

It's big, which is good for the room wanted (our actual oven went, but we're waiting for an upcoming kitchen overhaul before we buy new appliances), but with the exception of cooking a bird, the height and depth are definitely present.

 Making beef jerky is also really easy to do and one of my top usages now. Being a large model obviously makes it much easier to dehydrate the meat at larger quantities while making all the food come eat even.  I was going to originally buy one with a rotatory but figured it might not make much sense since the whole box is heating up, unlike cooking with charcoal for example where heat is coming from one direction. Plus being so large I can space out the food evenly, which is a problem with smaller air fryers I've read where for example a batch of fries with have the outer ones crispy by inner ones trapped in the middle soggy

 So Everytime I use it I must plug it on and to sit it off I have to unplug. Now note this is brand new first time use and it's totally unacceptable right from package to operation. Give it ZERO stars but Amazon would not allow anything less than 1 star. Typical China junk import DO NOT buy

Disappointed

My first air fryer. It’s a little difficult to follow recipes from Pinterest as this fryer is quite large compared to most. Cooking times are hard to figure out. Since it’s my first one I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I think it’s a little slow

My first air fryer

 It requires using my smaller STAINLESS cooking pans, or aluminum foil and parchment paper :-( on top of the unstable tray.

 The size of this tray is not standard and not available in the open market. It is interesting that the work horse of this product is the baking tray, and it's finish sucks and the unknown alloy that is exposed after cleaning is not appealing for cooking my food. It requires using my smaller STAINLESS cooking pans, or aluminum foil and parchment paper :-( on top of the unstable tray.
