Perfect for run commute with a lunch and change of clothes. But could not stand the sternum clips system. It uses a rail system which made it hard to close the strap quickly ans easily. If only this bag would use traditional clips it would win this hybrid running vest / hiking bag segment which the market is not addressing well

 I’m fairly lean (6’ 0” and 175 pounds with an above average chest size), had the sternum straps cinched 100%, and this was still too large around the shoulder/neck area (and I ordered the smallest size). I didn’t have the pockets stuffed with gear and maybe that would have helped, but I don’t want to always have to carry unnecessary gear just to make it fit. I love all of the pockets and amount of storage of the vest, but it bounces too much to be usable, unfortunately.

  Updated review (3 stars): After one more run, this vest just doesn’t fit well. If I wore layers (winter), it was ok, but as the day warmed up and I only had one layer on, it was too big.   I have only ran in this new pack on one short run, but it’s almost as comfortable as I expected it would be. It seems a little loose around the top/back side of shoulders, but I assume once I fill the hydration bladder full and add gear in some of the pockets, the fit will get better. Even though the fit wasn’t as snug as I was used to in the 1.5, the pack did not noticeably bounce and I found it more comfortable than other brands I have worn

5 pack.  The one downfall of this (and really it’s a minor inconvenience) is the straps with clips on the back side. They extend over the pockets and you have to loosen/un-clip them in order to unzip and access your rear pockets. This isn’t a deal breaker, but hopefully Osprey can figure out a better system for next years model

 Since this, PEC is considered a running pack even though I have never used it for running, mostly for hiking and cycling, There are a lot of justement points obviously heavy here. it has this and then you have these ones these chest straps that are easily movable and you can take them off and then this chest strap up here is easily taken off as well and it has a little magnet that has that can hold the included 2.5 liter water bladder. now

 I Just stretch it out, put it right there and it's easily accessible. so if I ever needed it, I Can easily get it out. And for you ultra runners, there is a little whistle that comes with it attached on the right shoulder pocket. Now for the main storage compartment

 that's great. Love that A couple pockets on each side of the vest straps the shoulder straps here. great for GU I've got like my bars there's a really nice zipper pocket here. This is where I've been keeping my phone running Strava taking quick picks the hip belt

Osprey Duro 15 Review

 It’s a good size, next to your back is the hydration bladder slot.  The Duro 15 not comes with two 500ml soft flasks you also get a 2.5l hydration bladder so a total of a wapping 3.5l of liquid can be carried (think MDS sections!)

 Re-clipping, however, I’ve found to be fiddly. So a little more practice is needed here before I master this.  The pole carry system needs a little work as you have to slip the bottom of folding poles into the side pockets. Also showing the mesh back panel and 500ml softflask

 The waist belt is super comfortable (Osprey are the masters of pack comfort) and has a large, zipped pocket on both sides. These have been great, in one I carry a printed map of my route, my compass and glasses and in the other a warm hat and some gloves. With these and the shoulder strap pockets there’s very little need to take the pack off on a normal, fast moving adventure. If that isn’t enough however, there are two more zipped, stretchy mesh pockets to keep anything else you might feel you need access to whilst on the move

  The shoulder straps are secured with two chest straps. These have a clip system which I found quite tricky to use when on the move and especially with gloves on. I can see the logic: there is a rail which has subdivide sections in which the strap clips in. The clip system is not a normal clip but is flatter, this was really frustrating at first until I discovered that you unclip it on the left hand side buy pulling the tab – I’ve not had any issues with unclipping it since

 and along with that you have a water bottle pocket on each side as well. If you're looking for just a backpack just to be a backpack though, and to and from the office, maybe to the gym, to and from class, this bag is gonna fit your needs very well. As long as you don't expect it to be feature-rich and have all these pockets and you know what you're getting into, you're gonna love this bag. Now to the cons of the bag

 It's still just that Cordillera fabric and I found that it doesn't breathe very well on your back and it's kind of a buzzkill for me. My next con is gonna be the laptop sleeve is not padded I Don't really know how you could market this bag for you know, everyday use where people are taking their laptops here and there and the only thing protecting that laptop is a tiny piece of nylon separating that in the main compartment. It's just a recipe for disaster, especially with the crap that we throw in the main compartment. along with laptops running upwards of like $3,000 nowadays

 You know you can unzip it, throw whatever crap you need to grab really quickly just because you don't wanna put it in the main compartment because stuff can kind of go to the bottom and it will get too in a second. And what I really like about it is the zipper on it. That thing is super heavy-duty I really don't know how you can break it and I know how you guys all know that once the zipper goes, it kind of the bag falls apart. so Topos done a really good job of putting like a really beefy zipper

 Here you got that nice topo bright, yellow inside really lights up the bag, so you can really see what's at the bottom, so you don't lose anything and then at the top we have another quick grab pocket here. This one kind of goes over the top of the bag, depending on how much you have it packed out. If you got these tightened down more, it's gon na lay a little bit flatter here, so you can have more access to it. Otherwise, it'll kind of be behind the back your neck, which is you know, not a bad spot for a more safety conscious people just so it's harder to get into it, while you're wearing it

 Then you're gon na have on the classic, and it's just got like a kind of like slick feel to it. So the water should bounce right off of that. But again as with all these the same sort of organization, you have you know the stretchy water bottle pockets and compression straps, although they are metal on this one. But it's all sort of the same and then in this middle pocket

 One and two, and then a small, a couple, little loops in front of that. If you want to like clip your keys to one of these just so they don't fall to the bottom of your pocket and then yeah. We have a couple smaller loops here on this other side, so a little bit of organization they're still not too much kind of keeps that minimal style while still having that more luxury feel and the back panel and shoulder straps on these are noticeably by a large Margin much more comfortable, it's really more thick dense, padding all over versus just having this kind of more like mesh. You know crunchy material, this real thick foam and so you'll kind of notice

 So, just a nice little day pack, we don't really need too much. As you can see, we just have a some mesh padding here, not the thickest, not the densest, but it'll get the job done. Unless you really load this thing out, then you may be wishing it had a little bit more, but for normal day to day use these do just fine and then up top. We just have a little grab handle here
