Disclaimer: I am not a runner! I purchased this item for long distance ultralight hiking. I returned the item because it is built for runners, very skinny people. I do work out 3-5 times a week but I am not huge and this pack was too small for me (yes I ordered the m/l which is listed as medium on Amazon). I have a 33 waist and wear a 42 suit jacket

-I find the cross straps also annoying, they feel in the way when you're trying to pack things and hurry quickly and I largely use them to secure the water bottle since it falls out due to the instability of this pack but its very annoying to need to clip each time when you're just trying to access the main compartment for your jacket when the stash pocket on front doesn't fit a jacket in the first place

so, i have an Ultimate Direction Fastpackher 30, and it pisses me the fuck off!! it is honestly mostly fine for my purposes, but like a lot of women's packs, it's actually designed for a tiny man. i have a small frame, and i don't have that much boobs, but the regular amount for a 40 year old woman, i think, lol, and the stabilizing strap is either up too high to be useful or pushes them up to my chin. i'm somewhat handy with sewing, so i'm thinking of adding shock cord and taking off the straps to make it more like my salomon vest.
