 Power consumption sits right around 130 watts with the clock speed at about 1830 megahertz so definitely no point here opting for a beefy triple fan cooler design. I would just recommend picking up the most affordable dual fan cooler design that is available. So that's pretty much all I have to say about the RTX 3050 from Nvidia as usual GPUs keep getting slower keep getting more cut down and there is just less reason for Nvidia and AMD for that matter to release GPUs that are actually impressive. Without seeing the pricing online it's just not worth me going back and forth with you guys on what this is worth it against you know Radeon cards 3060 just not worth it without seeing the pricing online so as usual I would recommend making an educated decision based off of the pricing and the other cards in your region

 Now if it makes it a little bit easier. If the 3050 actually comes in at under $300 it's a GPU that will get the job done if you're on a tighter budget, if you play easier to run games, and of course if you have no other options like a good second-hand GPU from a friend. For competitive esports style games that are a lot easier to run it does have acceptable performance. So out of curiosity I paired it with the Intel i3-12100F and wanted to see what the experience was like with lower quality settings in games like Apex and Valorant and yeah actually not too bad at all

Very smooth experience which would make for a great pair alongside a 144Hz or even 240Hz monitor. Also the 8GB of VRAM means that you can pretty much max out textures at 1080p in any game and still get something that looks pretty good

 This is the new RTX 3050 from Nvidia. It is the cheapest RTX 30 series card in their lineup yet. And you know what? At $250, if you can actually buy it at that price, it's actually not too bad of a GPU considering what your other options are, which is pretty much nothing. It can power 1080p gaming pretty confidently and it seems like a good pairing with a 144Hz monitor, but it is very cut down from the other RTX 30 series GPUs

 Woah, I don't think I should say that. Now sure, Nvidia priced this thing a good 25% higher than the red team's offerings, but it offers upwards of 40-50% better framerates in every situation. As a matter of fact, the RTX 3050 ends up sitting right below the $330 RX 6600. That gap between the 3050 and 6500 XT widens at 1440p

 The 3RPM mode switch is a clever integration, you gotta appreciate daisy chain potential and of course, a good looking fan will keep the system clean. Check out the T30 fan down below. Let's get into efficiency, and we really see the Ampere architecture at work here. It has a rated board power of around 130 watts, which is definitely higher than the previous generation of 50 class GPUs like the GTX 1050 or GTX 1650, but it's nothing to be worried about

The 3060 would clearly be the choice out of all these cards if you could buy that card for $330. But as shown on this chart with street prices, the actual buying landscape is a bit more challenging

 I'd like to begin by addressing the current situation with budget gaming graphics cards. There are no budget gaming graphics cards. I mean, there are, but in terms of entry-level options, the market is in short supply. Now, I usually consider the $150-ish range to be entry-level for a discrete GPU with nice entry to mid-level options starting at around $250 or so, but I'm probably still a bit too attached to a pre-shortage mindset in terms of pricing that we honestly might never return to

 The 3060 would clearly be the choice out of all these cards if you could buy that card for $330. But as shown on this chart with street prices, the actual buying landscape is a bit more challenging. I'm estimating a $400 street price for the 3050, which might be a little bit optimistic, but let's see how things play out in the next week or so. The 6500 XT might actually be the most appealing card for some of you, sad as I am to say it, if you can continue buying it for well below $300

 The RTX 3050 is not a surprise on paper. Speaking of, the ray tracing performance ain't bad either.  By extension, this means that the cooling assembly need not be as elaborate, so we have the same design language, but the dual sided fan arrangement gives away to a more conventional dual axial fan setup. It's also a much much smaller card than the 3080. In fact, let's take a look at a three-way comparison between 3070, 2080, Ti, and 3080. Effectively, the more power hungry the card is, the bigger it gets, and 3070 is the smallest of the bunch with a form factor closer to the last gen 2070

 It's interesting to see that in raid faced applications, the Rtx 3070's relationship with Turing cards is a lot more stable than it is with rasterization, and I'd say puts it in a pretty good place overall, especially since basically all new Raid face titles coming with the multiplier effect of Dlss which can produce some remarkable results in all cases. By Battlefield 5, 3080 still delivers way more performance anything up to 40 odd percent 3080. It really is a beast, which leads me on to the wrap up at 500.3070 is great value, but curiously, with 3080, you're getting extra performance pretty much in line with the extra money you're paying

 The Cuda core has been revamped, but regardless, thanks to the eight nanometer process, you're still getting more of them. In Rtx. 3070 clocks are a touch higher, but the 3070 has to get the job done with a lot less memory bandwidth at its disposal, plus a reduction of 40 watts in power. Now, let's look at how efficient the new card is
