 There'S actually holds in the fins. So what doesn't make it out? The sides can actually blow through long ways on the card too, but if you look at the bottom, it's the same thing. They could have left this open right here and this could have I mean it doesn't get seen it goes down in the motherboard, so they could have had a lot more air come out right here, but they didn't and then it squishes down again on these parts Or squishes down here opens up in the front and the back underneath the fan but becomes completely blocked off by the motherboard. So the only air that can escape is out the top side of the card where the logo shows, but guess what? If you take a look at where the power pins are dual eight pins, this is blocked off to where you have a little bit of air flow in there

 You could probably expect, as you back your settings that will go up so there's that, but we tested synthetics and then off obviously built-in benchmarks and a few different titles and the newest one being shadow of the Tomb Raider. For a gaming chair, just look for something that fits you and your style while also being very comfortable. I have a $100 chair while my GF has a $350 chair and while there is a difference of materials used and a brand name, the feeling of the chair and sitting for a long time i honestly prefer mine.

I've been putting together lists of everything I need and it seems like on most pc subreddits (excluding this one you guys are all so nice) people are overly elitist(sorry if I'm using elitist wrong, english isn't my native language) . Like for example, I was looking for reviews for a gaming chair that was in my budget, first thing I see is "get a 300 pound office chair" when I'm not in a position to spend 300 on a chair. I was looking for a wireless gaming headset review, and the first thing I see in the comments is "why would you want wireless, just get a wired headset that's more expensive" I understand when it's an open question but if I'm asking for opinions on a headset, just tell me if it's not good and give me an alternative. I have my reasons for needing a wireless headset, and I have a reason for not wanting to spend 300 on a used chair. I'm sorry if this comes off a bit dumb I just wanted to speak my mind. Thank you.

PC elitism

   * 3.5-6+ hours on Balanced Mode set to "Best Performance," max brightness, streaming Youtube and doing office work.

      * When the battery gets low enough, performance starts to dip. The battery drain can be slowed, but not stopped, by dimming or turning off the laptop display.

   * Biggest con for me. If I switch to "High Performance" for any amount of time, then back to "Balanced" mode, the battery drains twice as fast until I restart the laptop.

I've seen some reviews on the X1 extreme (similar to P1 gen 4), such as [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_yGSlty0kY), suggesting that it has a significant thermal limitation that cuts performance severely.

As an alternative I'm considering going full workstation and getting a T15G which seems like a much more robustly built system.

Any T15G/P15 gen 1 or gen 2 owners care to chime in on the pros and cons of this model?  I'm coming from a Macbook Pro, so this will be quite a change.  Any dead pixels or weird backlighting issues on the 4k displays to report?  Is it worth the added upcharge over the 1080 display?  (I have a Dell 7550 with a 4k display that bright and dark bands in the backlighting that are visible in normal use.)  Would you buy it again?

T15G gen 2 (P15)

While we aren’t yet able to test ray tracing (Shadow of the Tomb Raider is expected to be one of the first games updated with it), Epic Games has created an Infiltrator demo that tests the Unreal Engine 4’s rendering engine with Nvidia’s new DLSS capabilities. Although it’s just a demo, the results looked promising. The RTX 2080 averaged 103 fps with DLSS enabled versus non-DLSS rendering at 65 fps average on the GTX 1080. That’s more than a 50 percent performance improvement, and close to Nvidia’s performance claims for the RTX 2080

So yes, 4K / 60 fps gaming is here with the RTX line of graphics cards, but you’re going to have to pay a high premium to obtain it.

Far Cry 5 is less demanding than Tomb Raider, and it runs a lot better at max settings, averaging around 81 fps on my GTX 1080 and 96 fps on the RTX 2080. The RTX 2080 Ti pushes this to 113 fps, which is a nice sweet spot for the high-refresh capabilities of this monitor. PUBG also performs far better on the RTX 2080 Ti, averaging around 125 fps compared to the 80 fps I’m used to from the GTX 1080.

To see how these new cards perform with a typical 2018 gaming setup, we’ve been testing both the Nvidia RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti with a 27-inch Asus ROG Swift PG279Q monitor and a slew of demanding AAA titles. This monitor has 1440p resolution and up to 165Hz refresh rates with G-Sync, so it’s a great match for these new cards.

 Ray tracing, meanwhile, is fundamentally different. So it's a simulation of light interacting with the world space. Acting sort of like an eyeball in reverse, so instead of rays of light coming in rays, are actually cast out from the camera position where your screen is and then everything is calculated from there, the more rays you have and the more times those rays are allowed To interact or bounce around the scene, the more detail you get and it's a superior method in every way to rasterization, except for one speed up until now, ray tracing has only been available in rendering software that can take hours or even over a day to complete A single frame on a high-end workstation, so how the heck then is nvidia pumping out many frames per second using this tech. Well, the new enthusiast tier touring architecture cards, the 2080 and the 2080 ti include what they're calling rt cores, which for rtx enabled games, render a simplified ray traced scene in parallel with the standard cuda cores raster rendering

 These are being leveraged for nvidia's new, deep learning super sample anti-aliasing, which nvidia claims can achieve near 64x. Super sampling with less performance impact than traditional aaa, which they've achieved by pre-training data, sets for each supported game and then pushing those results out via driver updates. There is a catch, though, just like rtx real-time ray tracing. It has to be supported on a game by game basis

 So overall, then, the 2080 performs kind of like a 1080 ti cool and the 2080 ti performs kind of like a titan v, a much more expensive niche product, also cool, well sort of cool. All this performance comes at a cost and i'm not just talking about the much higher price tags than last gen. Now the manufacturing process has shrunk 25 from 16 nanometer to 12 nanometer, but with over 50 percent more transistors, so that means massive dies with higher overall power draw and thermals. Hence the overbuilt not to mention extremely, like shockingly heavy twin fan, vapor chamber cooler and the beefy power delivery on the founders edition designs
