And yep, looks like that's a confirmed 60 FPS nice Now productivity is where these cards don't get quite so big of a boost consistently coming in between their Predecessors and the next tier up the RTX 2070 super manages to get in some good performance numbers compared to the 2080 and shorter tests like blenders BMW and V ray But that's primarily down to the higher stock boost clock on longer tests like redshift and spec view perf the RTX 2080 decisively pulls ahead while the RTX 2060 super for its part falls a lot shorter of the RTX 2070s performance level than I would have thought going into this When it comes to thermals in spite of the meme potential it doesn't really look like It's that hot even under a power virus load Neither card approached the 80-degree threshold and in a gaming scenario things didn't get any worse power consumption was similarly within Levels we'd expect and the GPUs are basically pulling as much power as their stated TDPs where things get interesting is When we look at the boost clocks Yes under a power virus load, they're barely maintaining a boost over base clock but in a game scenario, they were rock solid well above their advertised boost clocks and All in all that's a pretty nice combo of performance power draw and thermals for a stock card. So really what is Nvidia accomplished here? Well, they managed to get out ahead of V's Navi based Radeon 5700 series Yes, but the question we really need to ask ourselves now is who do we thank for that? Do we thank TSMC for making mass production of Turing chips more economically viable? Do we thank Nvidia for taking a hit on GPU pricing and better binning or do we thank AMD for giving Nvidia the nudge? I was building a mid to high-end system for 1440p life for a gaming. The 2070 and 5700 XT would be the two cards in my sights particularly AIB, but he's on their backs T's for obvious reasons

 The three cards I'd like you to focus on these charts for the 2070 2070 super and 2080 Super, since we expect the original 2080 to be phased out in time and rightfully so. The 2080 Super retails for around the same price. The two 2070 variants for custom gigabyte boards that were sent to us for testing a few weeks ago and remain cool even under load. We Need to Talk About the RTX 2070 Super

 Being a 17.3" it offers better cooling than the standard 15" models. If you want more RAM or storage you just need to remove the bottom panel and everything is accessible from there.

Gaming Laptop with hefty cooling solution and higher end parts (1000 - 2000$) (United States)

If you can manage to scoop one of these up, do it. The pricing was fair (especially the way the market is currently) when I purchased this early February. I did notice Lenovo increased their pricing recently, which is disappointing, but it's still better than most of the market. Best of luck out there, stay safe and be well

A diamond in the rough

When I purchased this card, it was substantially less expensive. I actually purchased it as an upgrade from my Radeon card (not to say that AMD is any less of a brand, nor Radeon any less of a GPU, but I needed hardware compatibility for the IRay render engine as well as VR readiness). However it still competes with the current video cards, and I've put it up against not only games, but also some industrial applications like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Maya.

Rev 1 still running strong.  It's still got a few tricks up its sleeve.

These are well-built, and run great. They overclock quite well. Software says they're manufactured by MSI with Samsung GDDR6.

I do understand how these cards offer good price/value. It just feels kinda overkill, and I believe they will be outclassed rather soon. 

Then again I will buy RX 6000 cus I wanna use ray tracing in Cyberpunk 2077.
