And yep, looks like that's a confirmed 60 FPS nice Now productivity is where these cards don't get quite so big of a boost consistently coming in between their Predecessors and the next tier up the RTX 2070 super manages to get in some good performance numbers compared to the 2080 and shorter tests like blenders BMW and V ray But that's primarily down to the higher stock boost clock on longer tests like redshift and spec view perf the RTX 2080 decisively pulls ahead while the RTX 2060 super for its part falls a lot shorter of the RTX 2070s performance level than I would have thought going into this When it comes to thermals in spite of the meme potential it doesn't really look like It's that hot even under a power virus load Neither card approached the 80-degree threshold and in a gaming scenario things didn't get any worse power consumption was similarly within Levels we'd expect and the GPUs are basically pulling as much power as their stated TDPs where things get interesting is When we look at the boost clocks Yes under a power virus load, they're barely maintaining a boost over base clock but in a game scenario, they were rock solid well above their advertised boost clocks and All in all that's a pretty nice combo of performance power draw and thermals for a stock card. So really what is Nvidia accomplished here? Well, they managed to get out ahead of V's Navi based Radeon 5700 series Yes, but the question we really need to ask ourselves now is who do we thank for that? Do we thank TSMC for making mass production of Turing chips more economically viable? Do we thank Nvidia for taking a hit on GPU pricing and better binning or do we thank AMD for giving Nvidia the nudge?  We'Ve mentioned it several times these past few weeks, so I won't waste any time in this video performance bumps for the 2070 super over the 2070. Don'T look all that appealing for some of our synthetic loads. Same can be said for the 2080 super over the 2080, regardless of the resolution, but venture into popular games and the cards begin to flex their muscles. I was building a mid to high-end system for 1440p life for a gaming. The 2070 and 5700 XT would be the two cards in my sights particularly AIB, but he's on their backs T's for obvious reasons

 The three cards I'd like you to focus on these charts for the 2070 2070 super and 2080 Super, since we expect the original 2080 to be phased out in time and rightfully so. The 2080 Super retails for around the same price. The two 2070 variants for custom gigabyte boards that were sent to us for testing a few weeks ago and remain cool even under load. We Need to Talk About the RTX 2070 Super

 Being a 17.3" it offers better cooling than the standard 15" models. If you want more RAM or storage you just need to remove the bottom panel and everything is accessible from there.

Gaming Laptop with hefty cooling solution and higher end parts (1000 - 2000$) (United States)

If you can manage to scoop one of these up, do it. The pricing was fair (especially the way the market is currently) when I purchased this early February. I did notice Lenovo increased their pricing recently, which is disappointing, but it's still better than most of the market. Best of luck out there, stay safe and be well

A diamond in the rough

When I purchased this card, it was substantially less expensive. I actually purchased it as an upgrade from my Radeon card (not to say that AMD is any less of a brand, nor Radeon any less of a GPU, but I needed hardware compatibility for the IRay render engine as well as VR readiness). However it still competes with the current video cards, and I've put it up against not only games, but also some industrial applications like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Maya.

 So regardless of which driver you use from Nvidia, I think there's at least three different variants, three or four, you should be looking at the same game compatibility, the same level of performance that is shown here in this video. But for accessing some of the GeForce type features, you can manually install the GeForce Experience, and that worked just fine with any of those drivers. So in summary, I didn't run into any driver compatibility issues with games. And that's about everything I have for you on the Nvidia RTX A4000, at least for now

 So again, Nvidia has dropped the Quadro branding, so not Quadro drivers, but I know what you guys mean. They do of course have a few different driver branches. I installed the production branch slash studio driver, and it worked just fine for all the games that we've tested in this video, and the performance went untouched. So that was good to see, and the same was also true with the new feature branch driver

 Packing 16 GB of ECC memory opposed to just 8 GB for the RTX 3070 Ti, and I suspect this is why many of you are so interested in the A4000. In theory, you should be able to overclock the A4000 to achieve RTX 3070-like performance, but that'll depend on how far you can push the cause and memory, and of course, this is something I'm going to explore. On that note, I should quickly mention that this content is focused exclusively on gaming performance. We don't really care about the benefits the A4000 might bring to video editing, 3D rendering or CAD work, again, at least for this content

 This might be something we explore in a separate content piece, but for this one, we have a heap of gaming data to go over, and of course, the entire point of buying the A4000 was to answer the question, is it worth purchasing over something like an RTX 3070 for gaming? Right out of the gate, the first red flag for the A4000 was the tiny single-slot cooler, and because this is a professional-grade product, Nvidia doesn't allow their partners to design their own custom PCBs and coolers. Anyway, for now it looks like you can only squeeze about 10% more out of the A4000. So to answer the question from our Q&A series, would you consider buying an RTX A4000 over an RTX 3070 for gaming, and if so, how much extra would you spend on the A4000? I'd certainly consider buying it, but I probably wouldn't do so at a premium, so for me the A4000 would really need to cost less than $2,000 Australian, probably somewhere between the 3060 Ti and 3070 Ti, and if I'm honest, probably closer to the 3060 Ti.  Not a huge difference, but there's another specification, that could have a more serious influence on performance, and that is the GDDR memory. The 3070T utilizes GDDR6X memory with a throughput of 19 Gbps, and when paired with a 256-bit wide memory bus provides a bandwidth of 608 Gbps. The A4000, on the other hand, uses more traditional GDDR6 memory, offering a throughput of 14 Gbps, and when using the same 256-bit wide memory bus that means memory bandwidth has been reduced by 26% to 448 Gbps. The RTX A4000 does have one advantage though, and that's memory capacity

 However, there are several key differences between how the A4000 and RTX 3070T are configured. First, the cores. Where the RTX 3070T cores operate at a base frequency of 1575 MHz, with a boost of 1770 MHz, the A4000 cores clock as low as 735 MHz, with a boost of just 1560 MHz. That means, under load the RTX 3070T should clock at least 13% higher than the A4000

 I'll test it for you. I'll be the guinea pig and see if it's worth it. I would hate for you to buy it, build a rig, and then everything starts just going out of control and then it overheats or whatever it does. I'm not really too sure on that

 So right off the bat, this thing is getting about 61 MHz, which we'll get into in a few minutes at 125 watts, plus or minus a couple watts. And the MHz moves a little bit. This is non-LHR. Essentially, from my understanding, this card is a non-LHR 3070

 But again, when you start getting this into a rig, when you get it with other ones, I could see that going up a lot and it could potentially be a big problem.
