 So keep that in mind. I wouldn't normally play this game with all the settings turned out like this call of duty. Modern warfare is a game that i've heard people play, so i got reginald to test it as well. During gameplay in something called warzone, it managed to produce a massive 90fps on average, which is decent in this game

 But how does it perform today, and should you swap yours out if you have one first, let's take a look at the specs of the card. The version i have is one of the best versions ever made of this card. It'S the lightning edition from msi, which features a massive cooler and a higher boost clock out of the box. Like all 980 ti, it has 6 gigabytes of memory running at 7 gigahertz, which can be overclocked more than usual thanks to its power, delivery and cooling

 Cs: go is a pretty easy game to run, but this game has gotten a lot of updates that has slowed it down over time. The 980 ti doesn't have any issues running them at 1080p. However, the game has also had new cheat measures put in place, which makes my fps monitoring software incapable of running, and my iq is far too low to figure it out right now, either way the fps benchmark map produced an average of 367 fps and the footage You'Re looking at now is a bit older, but it runs pretty much the same in the maps today. Nvidia GTX 980 Ti Review | Can it still game?

The GeForce GTX 980 Ti and GeForce GTX Titan X were essentially tied here, while the GeForce GTX 980 landed about 20fps behind at 1080p. It was also substantially less capable at 4K, where the GeForce GTX 980 Ti's 6GB of RAM likely gave it an extra edge. The Radeon R9 295X2 continued to dominate in terms of raw frame rates.

 Somewhat surprisingly, too, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti slightly bested the GeForce GTX Titan X on a few of our tests. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti's edge is likely due primarily to driver updates since we tested the GeForce GTX Titan X a few months ago. Still, given the price difference, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is the clear choice between the two for those primarily interested in PC gaming.

 (See this PDF link for the details on the PSU recommendations.(Opens in a new window)) Suffice it to say that while AMD continues to deliver a solid value in terms of raw performance, its cards that were current at the time of this writing (in late May 2015) had power requirements that have looked more and more out of sync with every new Maxwell-based card that Nvidia launches.

 And, interestingly, none of these cards hit 30 frames per second (fps) at these settings. To be fair, though, at that resolution, you could probably drop the AA setting back from 8X to 2X (or even switch it off) without noticing much, if any, difference.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review

 The open air fans sound softer than the blower type, though even with an aggressive fan profile I see it climb to 80 C, lowering the max boost I can get. I'm sure it's just my own internal fan setup, however not too concerned with what I've experienced so far. Front and Side 200mm pulling in, 240mm radiator with dual 120mm fans pushing topside, and just one single 120mm rear exhaust.  I was looking to replace a single card with another single card, and this definitely does the trick

 While not quite 4k, still a great upgrade to give the card a run for its money. Witcher 3 maxes out the card at 1440p, so if I continued at 1080p I would have not seen its maximum potential.  This card could not maintain steady 60 FPS in Star Citizen's hangar module (Very High settings @ 1440p), but your experience may vary depending on how many ships you had, and in which hangar (fully stocked Asteroid Hanger driving around in the Grey Cat). There was no way to turn off the in-game V-sync, therefore it continually bounced between 30 and 60 FPS

  I needed a card that sits exactly how my GTX 680 sat, mainly due to the power pin cabling position. As my photo shows, thisEVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti ACX SC+ ACX 2.0+ Graphics Card with Backplate 06G-P4-4995-KR works perfectly (as my 680 had a backplate too, made sense to get another backplated as well).  My 3DMark Fire Strike score doubled with the 980 Ti (from 7187 to 14933), right out of the box boosted to 1316 MHz @ 1193 mV, which may differ, as mine came with an ASIC of 74

Before I go into review, I'd like to add that the card pictured if different than the one I received. It isn't champagne colored like the one displayed and has more of a silver metallic look in place of the champagne. The front of the card is displayed as "GTX Hybrid" instead of the one shown and the side of the GPU also lights up and says "EVGA GTX Hybrid". So I'm guessing the one displayed was a special model? Unsure, but really its all cosmetic stuff that really isn't as important to me

 I've upgraded from 2x GTX 580's and this thing runs everything no problem at max settings! I also use this on a 144hz monitor and most non-demanding games run at over 150fps+. The only problem I've had so far is the HDMI port does not work. I don't expect to put out this much money to have an HDMI port not work. While its not a big issue

The only reason this isn't a 5 star card is the fact that it isnt offered with a pre installed water block, there are no full cover water blocks, and that the card is a case heat discharge type instead of case intake.  The Radeon r9 290x is still fantastic value between 3 and 350 dollars.  In my system, my CPU bottlenecks this card occasionally, depending on the demands of the game I'm (Fallout 4 for example). It runs pretty cool most of the time. Mine idles around 40 C, which is a tad hot, but not horrible. The fans can get really loud if you crank them to 100%, but they have never gotten there even based on my aggressive fan curve

 All port come with dust blockers.  It fit perfectly fine in my (albeit overly-large) Corsair 750D Airflow Edition case on my ASUS Z97-A motherboard. Amazing Top-Tier Graphics Card, Benchmarks/FPS' In Review!!

 So, the new card seems to run slightly hotter than the last one at idle, but lower at gaming with ultra settings. I think this is something I can live with, especially since the new placement of the computer puts the fans within reach and I still feel cool-to-warmish (but not hot) air being expelled. Oh yeah, and still not overclocking the card at this point although I feel like I could do so without issues or live without it and be just fine. So, changing my title and my opinion to match the latest

 I plugged it back in and tried again. This time, it made it almost 25 minutes before doing the same thing. Yeah, I will be contacting EVGA to find out what they intend to do about this because - SURPRISE! SURPRISE! - I am just past the 30-day return policy for Amazon. Go figure

 Surpassed anything I've had (although a co-worker talked me down from dual 1080 cards - that would have been something I think).  Revised - OK, the RMA process was very simple. People assured me that EVGA is a great company to work with, and they were not wrong. One simple phone call from me, one simple email from them, and the card is on it's way back to them for a replacement

I've had the card for a few months now, but haven't been able to use it due to not having the right cables for it. Been using it the last few days, and so far I'm impressed. There's a notable difference in my performance, especially with more high-end games.
