Looking for the most sensible upgrade pathways will include 10 series and 20 series cards and amd stuff in these benchmarks that you can look at potentially a used video card upgrade pathway, rather than going for a new out of stock, rtx, 30 or rx 6000 card. We recently reviewed the corsair 4000d airflow as a return to high performance cases by corsair, but also talked about its attention to detail on color matching the individual components of the case

 The rtx 3060 ti is not too dissimilar in the pricing from where this was originally, especially. The aftermarket cards from the 970 series a little bit higher, but the 3060 ti, would give you multiples over your current performance on a 970. You are more likely if you're upgrading in place to become cpu bound at that point, if you're not upgrading the whole system, and and for that reason also, we would probably advise maybe stopping at a 3060 ti or an rx 6800 non-xt depending on your cpu, because If you're running a system from 2014, then and you're - probably on intel for the most part - maybe an i5, but hopefully an i7. At this point, you are going to become cpu bound as you increase the class of gpu in the modern era, except for, if you're really trying to push high resolution

 Sometimes it would refuse to launch because it said there weren't enough resources available and it just seemed to be almost lock-based. So you do run into those problems, but if you're happy with the way the card is still playing and the only reason you're thinking of an upgrade is because it's been a while uh then maybe hang on to it a bit longer. It'S not a rush right now, anyway, with the market in its current state. But if it's starting to slow you down, you're, not happy with the gaming experience anymore uh, you find yourself really frustrated by the performance, the frame rate frame time hitches stuff, like that sure upgrade, but certainly there's no harm in keeping your 970 around

 As for new stuff, and these rx 6800 would put you at 81 fps average in a comparable situation, as opposed to the 970s 19. with the xt card at 93, fps average there's plenty of room to increase as long as the budget also increases, but now we're Getting into territory that is double the price or more of the original 970 launch prices. The 3060 ti runs at about 59 fps average. Here total war, 3 kingdoms is one of our most abusive benchmarks for games

 There call of duty warzone one of the most popular multiplayer titles out there, the battle royale, the car got 181 fps. You have no problem driving 144 hertz monitors on this one percent, lows 126 and 118 for the 0.1 percent. I tested fall guys just to see if there was going to be any issues and even at the highest settings the 970 got 60 fps rocksteady, so you're good there, although my fall guys, has an issue where it won't go above 60 fps

GTX 970 - Worth It in 2020?

Who could possibly resist the aesthetics of NVIDIA's high end blower coolers? There is somewhat of a premium when going for the reference design GTX 970, but it is definitely worth it for those who have very compact systems with minimal airflow. The GPU temperatures can get hot (though still within safe ranges), and they normally do, but most of that heat is being exhausted out the back of the case. It is probably safe to say that no AIB partners have been willing to build a better quality or better performing blower-style cooler than NVIDIA's reference design.

 What I want: play any game that comes out in the next 5 years and play current games on Max? I thought about just swapping graphics card but am so out of the loop with computer building. **GPU** As for the GPU, I went with a 3-fan, 2-slot RTX 3060 Ti from EVGA. This case supports even larger 3-slot cards, but I wasn't looking to break the bank on anything fancier than a 3060 Ti.
