 Now I'm going to get through this methodology stuff as quickly as I can. We use a 3960X overclocked to 4 gigahertz, cooled by an H100, we use a P9X79 deluxe motherboard, we use an Antec Hi-Current Pro 1000 watt, a 128 gig SSD, and we use a variety of graphics cards, obviously for our testing. We're running on Windows 7 and we're running the latest beta drivers for both AMD and Nvidia. We run all graphics cards overclocked because overclocking is free, I guess if your time's not worth anything

 Now all of our games are not only being run at high resolutions but also at very high detail settings because, well, the justification for it is if you're going to spend $300 on a graphics card, you better be running at high details. In this one, we see what's going to become a recurring theme, and that is that memory bandwidth and memory amount seem to be holding back the 660 Ti and the GTX 680. This is something we did not observe in our 1080p benchmarks, so there is a very clear division where Titan and 780 are up here, 7970 and 7950 are here, and 680 and 660 Ti are trailing at the bottom. In Tomb Raider 2013, it really is men against boys with the Titan and the GTX 780 coming out on top, however, of course, they are priced much higher than the cards that they are now replacing from Nvidia's own lineup and the 7950 and 7970

It is a significantly more powerful GPU with its Titan DNA and really much closer to Titan performance than anything else. And of course, it's much lower price point compared to the GTX Titan.  Compared to the competition, Gigabyte priced this card very well. The WindForce cooler is a beast. The GTX 780 GPU normally runs quite hot, but when leaving the fans at auto, I only reached 77°C with this Gigabyte version. And believe it or not, I personally didn't notice any noise coming from the graphics card

And yep, looks like that's a confirmed 60 FPS nice Now productivity is where these cards don't get quite so big of a boost consistently coming in between their Predecessors and the next tier up the RTX 2070 super manages to get in some good performance numbers compared to the 2080 and shorter tests like blenders BMW and V ray But that's primarily down to the higher stock boost clock on longer tests like redshift and spec view perf the RTX 2080 decisively pulls ahead while the RTX 2060 super for its part falls a lot shorter of the RTX 2070s performance level than I would have thought going into this When it comes to thermals in spite of the meme potential it doesn't really look like It's that hot even under a power virus load Neither card approached the 80-degree threshold and in a gaming scenario things didn't get any worse power consumption was similarly within Levels we'd expect and the GPUs are basically pulling as much power as their stated TDPs where things get interesting is When we look at the boost clocks Yes under a power virus load, they're barely maintaining a boost over base clock but in a game scenario, they were rock solid well above their advertised boost clocks and All in all that's a pretty nice combo of performance power draw and thermals for a stock card. So really what is Nvidia accomplished here? Well, they managed to get out ahead of V's Navi based Radeon 5700 series Yes, but the question we really need to ask ourselves now is who do we thank for that? Do we thank TSMC for making mass production of Turing chips more economically viable? Do we thank Nvidia for taking a hit on GPU pricing and better binning or do we thank AMD for giving Nvidia the nudge? What's so super about super as it turns out quite a bit So let's take a look at the cards We have for testing today the GeForce RTX 2060 super and RTX 2070 super and compare them to the original lineup hmm doesn't the new 2060 super look a lot like the old 2070 and Look at the power connectors and length of the new 2070 super they're almost identical to the old 2080 Because well, they're kind of the same card except only kind of when we compare the spec sheets of the super lineup against the originals We've got an interesting story to tell particularly in the case of the RTX 2060 super unlike the original It now has 8 gigabytes of RAM like the rest of the family and we can see that its core count and TDP are much Closer to the og 2070 than the 2060 the new 2070 super meanwhile didn't get as big of a buff But is still clearly based on the 2080 with nearly the same TDP and requiring that second PCIe power cable Which it didn't before I'd like to think of it kind of like a 27 DTI with that in mind the super cards are pretty good upgrades as long as the price is right and it kind of is the new Cards are being launched at the previous one's price points Which gives us roughly the performance per dollar on paper that a lot of us expected from the original RTX launch It seems like it's a pretty generous offer from Nvidia and they say it's a result of binning and better yields after 10 months of teething which sounds reasonable enough I mean, whatever the other reasons and video might have radion competition The fact remains that these cards appear to be a pretty great value for the consumer or at least it seems that way on paper We need to see for ourselves So it's off to our trusty GPU test bench to do some testing and if you're watching this in the future The reason we're not including any AMD gear right now is well AMD is our DNA based radions aren't out yet But they are using GeForce as a point of comparison. I was building a mid to high-end system for 1440p life for a gaming. The 2070 and 5700 XT would be the two cards in my sights particularly AIB, but he's on their backs T's for obvious reasons

 The three cards I'd like you to focus on these charts for the 2070 2070 super and 2080 Super, since we expect the original 2080 to be phased out in time and rightfully so. The 2080 Super retails for around the same price. The two 2070 variants for custom gigabyte boards that were sent to us for testing a few weeks ago and remain cool even under load. We Need to Talk About the RTX 2070 Super

 Being a 17.3" it offers better cooling than the standard 15" models. If you want more RAM or storage you just need to remove the bottom panel and everything is accessible from there.

Gaming Laptop with hefty cooling solution and higher end parts (1000 - 2000$) (United States)

If you can manage to scoop one of these up, do it. The pricing was fair (especially the way the market is currently) when I purchased this early February. I did notice Lenovo increased their pricing recently, which is disappointing, but it's still better than most of the market. Best of luck out there, stay safe and be well

A diamond in the rough

When I purchased this card, it was substantially less expensive. I actually purchased it as an upgrade from my Radeon card (not to say that AMD is any less of a brand, nor Radeon any less of a GPU, but I needed hardware compatibility for the IRay render engine as well as VR readiness). However it still competes with the current video cards, and I've put it up against not only games, but also some industrial applications like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Maya.

Rev 1 still running strong.  It's still got a few tricks up its sleeve.

These are well-built, and run great. They overclock quite well. Software says they're manufactured by MSI with Samsung GDDR6.
