Updating a top-selling model is risky business, but we think Nordica nailed last year’s revamp of the Enforcer line. The mid-width “94,” which replaced the outgoing 93-millimeter ski, is our favorite of bunch thanks to its sturdy yet fun personality. Notable tweaks to the design, including greater use of carbon fiber and a lighter-weight front end that features less plastic and more wood, increased versatility. The result is that the ski has lots of pop as you combine turns on and off trail, grips exceptionally well on hardpack, and still can put a lot of power down with two sheets of metal. In a very crowded field of all-mountain options, the Enforcer’s do-everything character puts it at the top of our 2022 rankings.

In testing the ski, one standout trait we kept coming back to was its natural and predictable performance. From the very first run, we felt completely comfortable: the ski is surprisingly easy to turn, excels at a range of speeds, and hits a sweet spot in width for true coast-to-coast appeal. On all but the deepest days—during a late-season storm cycle, we did find ourselves wishing for more floatation—the Enforcer is a great match. The Nordica Enforcer 94 is our favorite ski for carving and ranks well overall in our all-mountain lineup. The Enforcer 94's Carbon Chassis and TWO Sheets of metal combine to create our favorite blend of edge grip, rebound, and overall precision while carving at higher speeds. Coming in at a versatile turn radius of 17.1 meters, we found it intuitive in shorter SL and longer GS turns. While the Enforcer is ideal for carving on the groomers, it also provides excellent versatility across the mountain in all snow conditions.
The adjustments made for the 2021-2022 model include Nordica's Carbon Chassis and True Tip technologies. Along with a slightly wider 94-millimeter waist width, the Enforcer 94 gains slightly better off-piste performance than its predecessor's 93-millimeter width underfoot. Despite these improvements, this ski can be challenging to pilot through heavy or deep powder. Skiers spending lots of time in softer or deeper snow may be better suited with a ski that is wider. But for the more experienced skier looking to tip and rip across most snow conditions, look no further than the Enforcer 94.

So when you put it all to the end of the ski it does, you know it's kind of hard where how to know when to separate the marketing from the actual manufacturing and right?  Does everything really well yeah, but I like that there are three options right, because then you can really pick which one's right for you yeah. You can fine-tune it for sure right, but I would you know, and then I'd add onto that, that if you're, if you want to buy one of those three skis and that's going to be your daily driver, you could make an argument that this is the most Well, rounded, yeah, cuz 94 is still pretty quick edge to edge, and then you still get a pretty good float, yeah, so great ski anything that you want to add that you want to know. I mean just that just like to echo what you're saying it doesn't seem to get caught in the middle. It kind of creates its own little home right

The Salomon QST 98 is back this season with a slightly more freestyle design, while still be able to handle high speed skiing and do well on hard snow. This ski is made for advanced skiers who want access to the whole mountain and performance in all conditions. Reinforced with carbon, flax, and titanal, the QST 98 is stable and damp at high speeds and can hold its edge well. 98mm underfoot with decent rocker in the tips and tails, this ski shines off-piste, in the trees and powder, and really allows skiers to push limits on and off the trails.
Key Features:
- C/FX and Cork Damplifier – Salomon adds a full layer of blended carbon and flax to the ski, along with cork in the tips and tails to keep the ski very damp without excess weight. The cork in the tips/tails helps prevent chatter at high speeds, while the C/FX layer increases torsional stiffness and stability throughout the body of the ski.
- TI Binding Reinforcement – A section of Titanal is added edge to edge in the center section of the ski to really increase energy transference and stability underfoot, especially when carving and getting the ski on edge.
- Full Sandwich Sidewalls – Using full sidewalls through the entire ski, the edge grip is greatly increased and also creates a more precise skiing experience for more technical terrain.

 So you're getting a lot more rocker out of the tail of this ski compared to the QST 92. So take an East Coast based skier, for example, these are, you know, arguably the two more appropriate widths as a daily driver ski. Between the 92 and the 98, you're getting like more precision on a groomer and then more versatility in the trees. And it also kind of like matches, matches potential skiing style, too

 So, all those things add up to just give it a better feel, an increased performance in moguls and trees when you take it off-piste. You know, this ski, or the QST 99 and now the QST 98, has always been a ski that's versatile. It's a very well-rounded ski, but it kind of leans towards soft snow use.  This ski takes it to a whole new level in how it maneuvers through technical terrain. Just a fantastic tree ski for here in Vermont. You know, we have tight technical terrain on steep, tight technical trees on steep terrain. So, that can be pretty demanding, and the QST 98 handles it really, really well
