The Nordica Enforcer 93 is a heavier powerful ski that has been very popular on the East Coast for quite a while. Carves like a frontside ski, but is very maneuverable off trail.

 Slight rocker in the tail allows the ski to break loose when needed but maintains plenty of edge contact for high speed skiing. The tip features a really noticeable rocker and the flex softens slightly through the tip to allow the ski to be driven through the nose for a maneuverable agile style of skiing while maintaining stability. Additionally this nose planes well in soft snow and improves the skis performance in power. So this is definitely a ski for those advanced or expert level skiers

 So this is the Enforcer 93 from Nordica's Enforcer series of all-mountain freeride skis and this is the narrowest model at 93 millimeters underfoot so it's the most sort of all-mountain piste oriented for those people wanting the construction and performance of a freeride ski but in a slightly narrower package that's going to be maybe a bit more familiar and the easiest to carve big turns on firm snow with. A full wood poplar and beech core is reinforced with carbon and titanol laminates which makes for a stiff ski with plenty of torsional rigidity. Perfect for aggressive skiing this allows the ski to remain stable and maintain excellent edge grip across a wide range of conditions and speeds. Full length sidewall absorbs vibrations and dampens the ski as well as working with camber throughout the majority of the ski to further increase edge hold and stability

 Alright, we're back. So I'm riding Nordica's Enforcer in the 93 millimeter waist. This is a 177. There's the ski right there for you

 And in what we have today, you know, deep snow, lots of powder, lots of chop now because it's getting cut up. Skis just not as happy. That's not its thing. I wish I had some groomed snow and some hard snow to kind of put this through its paces and give you more of an objective review

 If you're a heavier skier, you're gonna appreciate the skis extra weight. So kind of a getting to know you type review here for the enforcer. I can't say I've really given it a fair chance in all of the things that excels at. But what I see of it so far, I like in terms of its speed, its GSE feel

 And instantly this ski's geometry is really reminiscent of race technology, a GS ski. It's got that same kind of, kind of, it seeks out the fall line. It just loves to dive in to the start of the turn. And if you like that swinging motion that you can get on a racing ski where you're sort of going tip to tail and just sort of falling into the turn and then rocketing out, this is a ski that likes to make that kind of turn

The 93s are perfect. I'm 6 foot 170 and the 185 cm were a perfect length. Carve like a warm knife through butter on these New England mountains. Highly recommend and I paired them with Tyrolia attack 13 bindings which is an excellent set-up

Phenomenal ski

No matter the conditions, these skis can handle it - but they really shine in powder, crud, and they provide an ultra-soft landing if you get airborne... but they wouldn't be good for a skier without a lot of lower body strength

 They don't turn on a dime, but they're workable mogul skis and can hold an edge on early am Sierra cement - if you ski with power. I'm a very experienced mid-50s M, 180# and have the mid-180s length mounted with Solomon bindings. I got in about 20 days this past winter on them in the Truckee- Tahoe and Donner Summit resort areas.

Boasting three different turn radii within the side of the ski, the M6 can achieve a different turn outcome depending on skier input. This new technology admittedly took some getting used to. However, we found the tech especially helpful when merging onto a new run with more traffic or exiting a mogul field back onto the groomer. The M6 Mantra is on the damp side of the spectrum for skis. But we can’t complain when the overall result is the superior combination of stability and maneuverability that this ski offers through icy groomers, afternoon chop and slop, and deep pow days.

On the heels of the extremely successful and well-loved M5, Volkl hasn’t rocked the boat too much with the new M6 Mantra. It remains an extremely powerful and precise all-mountain option that’s perfectly happy in the hands of hard chargers at speed. Volkl did make some tweaks to the Titanal Frame construction: shorter skis now have less metal and are a little softer, while longer options are stronger with more metal. You also get the brand’s 3D Radius (also found in the Kendo below), which effectively gives the ski three different turn radii. In practice, it’s pretty impressive, and the M6 feels comfortable at everything from tight and quick turns to wide GS sweepers.

It’s a close call between the M6 and Nordica Enforcer above, and both are versatile, standout models. In parsing out the differences, the Mantra is noticeably wider at the tip (by 8mm), and its stiffer build gives it the advantage in terms of stability. But the Nordica is more comfortable in tight spaces with its nimble, easier-to-manage flex (this also makes it a better option for intermediate-level skiers). Both are excellent one-quiver options for riders that spend the majority of their time on groomers or in regions with moderate snowfall. 6'0 270lbs here. Volkl M6 Mantra 184 is what I ski, and before that I was on an older pair of Matra's. This is what you want, or something similarly stiff like a Nordica Enforcer etc.

I recently switched from boards to skiing again and am looking for a solid all mountain ski that will actually let me carve instead of just folding and sliding sideways.  I don't have much faith in the Amazon sponsored lists, and every manufacturer seems happy to say that their ski will work great, so I'm looking for real world info.

I am 6'3" and presently 260lbs and falling (down from 300).  I intend to reach a 230lb goal weight by next season.  I am mostly on 184 k2 poacher twin tips, but the whole twin thing isnt as fun as I had expected.  I have a worn out pair of 193 salomon xscreams that are old and shitty.  I ski midwest groomed/ice 95% of the time 2+ times a week with occasional real snowfall and 1-2 trips west.  I'd say I'm solid intermediate maybe a little advanced, sometimes I like to go 25-30mph according to gps.

I have been told to get skis with metal, and avoid the capped ones for ones with more rigid sidewalls.  Hoping to look late or off season because I just spent alot on proper boots.  Anyone have advice?

 So we get tailored titanal frame and we get tailored carbon tip. Tailored titanal frame is pretty darn cool. Simply they took some metal out of the tip of the ski. So if you're to compare m5 mantra, m6 mantra the metal frame, especially just right in the end of the ski or only in right, in the end of the ski and in the tail as well

 Something that really kind of jumped out to me is. Is this morning we skied with uh, with a local local skier named christy who's who's, very, very good. At skiing racing background, she's been with vocal for a long time as like an athlete ambassador type position, she normally skis something like a 170 secret.
