My wife bought this for me as a birthday gift, as an upgrade to the wooden paddles we started with. Those cheap paddles honestly have better energy return than this one does. The attractive box was packed with form-fitted foam cradling the paddle! Kudos on the magnificent presentation without exorbitant pricing!  In stark contrast, I recently received a new $150 Selkirk paddle shipped bare inside a yellow USPS mailer… And from a well-known (among Pickleballers) dedicated Pball online store! SMH  Meanwhile this paddle was under $60 with coupon! Granted it’s made in China, whereas the Selkirk is made in the USA

 So it remains to be seen how durable the Niupipo Explorer will be (looking at you polypro core)  However out of the (glorious) box, the Nuipipo Explorer feels every bit as well-built as my Selkirk Amped Invicta.  Nuipipo gave it a VERY fat grip with a good feel. Personally I prefer a thinner grip for my brachydactyly-challenged hands. But this is definitely the paddle for you big hand types

Beginner players tend to use harder paddles because they rely on driving the ball and want a paddle to do most of the work. Higher skilled players focus on control and placement, waiting for the right opportunity before attacking with velocity

0 level and higher, you probably already have a higher-priced performance paddle because spending an extra few dollars is no big deal for advanced athletes.  I'm hoping for an Explorer version with a true Carbon Fiber Weave face which will further increase the forgiveness and accuracy albeit with a higher price tag. I see many manufacturers adding a carbon fiber option, but it requires deep pockets for the luxury. Or even better, Niupipo should make the polypropylene core more forgiving and add multiple layers of graphite to increase the touch like other manufacturers while keeping the price low

Pickleball Paddle - One of the Best

 I used to have a lightweight Selkirk Epic that I replaced because I was getting elbow pain. This paddle plays as well if not better than the Epic but is a better weight for me being in the midweight range. I still added some lead tape to bring it to an even 8oz from the 7.8oz it came stock

 Yeah, yeah, no, I kind of started with a big composite 8.7 Z5, so I went down in weight, but I kind of stuck with it. And now that this is the newer design, is there a difference in the paddle between that and the older design? The older design was a, it was a heavier composite, so I could, I would barely swing and the ball would fly right off. So as I got better, I moved to a lighter paddle because I get a little better touch

 I don't have it, so I got to stick with this. And I gotta say, the Z5 is a paddle a lot of people actually started with. Yeah, yeah, no, I kind of started with a big composite 8.7 Z5, so I went down in weight, but I kind of stuck with it

 What I’m disappointed in: the top of the handle has already begun slipping down and I’ve had to re-wrap it. I haven’t had it for very long (a few months) and play 2x a week so for the price this is for sure a let down. It already shows a lot of marks. I’ve seen older, more frequently used paddles look way less ‘beat up’

Great first paddle…but

 I mean, I guess if you want more grip, that grip tape, I don't really have, it's never flown out of my hands. Because you're always taught you're not supposed to hold the handle real tight, or you kind of lose. No, you kind of want to finesse, otherwise you'll over grip it and then you get tendonitis in your arm. See, I do know things

This is a reasonably priced paddle the performs quite well on the court. I'm new to PB and wanted something that was better than my hand-me-down, but not top of the line. This hit the mark!

Overall a great paddle, the only issue was a few weeks into playing (about a dozen games) the wrapping on the handle started to lossen up little bit. Unfortunately I don't get to play that often, but the grip gradually was becoming undone. Good paddle, not so good grip attachment.
