It blends ice well. It is loud but this doesn't bother me. Would recommend but if had to buy again I would consider a different model, depending on price.

3) The unit always turns on, first try, every time. My old unit was a different brand that was super finicky and had to be seated just right to turn on. It had poorly implemented safety feature involving lining up the container with the base. This one is so easy to use, you just sit the container not the base, that's it, no fussing

I would suggest to rinse out the blades assembly right after using it cause it would seem difficult to clean otherwise. Ninja You Crush it!

Don’t forget to start on low speed but get to high speed within 5 seconds or air pockets will form and it will not blend properly. But of course, it all depends on well who knows what. Save your money!!! The co does nothing to address any issue. If you think mine is just damaged, Vitamix disagrees

This thing is great for Smoothies and turns ice into snow literally. I took off 1 star because the 16 oz cups are too small to fit all my ingredients in. Thinking of going with the ninja pro because it has bigger cups.

Bear this in mind if you want to store it on your kitchen counter, under cabinets; the taller one might not fit under yours. It's great and worth every penny!

I found that Ninja gives me the same results as a Vitamix blender for only a fraction of the cost. It's the perfect size for my smoothies and home made salad dressings. It blends thoroughly in 30 seconds. Other blenders leave small chunks of whatever I'm trying to blend
