Great product, saves me time and headache!

 It comes with the standard little USB cable which is interchangeable with any other you might have, but this one has a little nearly gone and also comes with a spare ink cartridge. These are a standard cartridge type known as D1 then not manufactured or sold on you, but any you find should be compatible. although Neo does have a list of recommended ones from specific manufacturers which you can find our website. The pen needs charging when it arrives and the red light here indicates that is charging

 We essentially bought this as an alternative to a graphics tablet, which we may still get in future Anyway, their pen arrives in a sleek, minimal box, definitely taking some cues from Apple in terms of presentation. The form factor of the pen is totaling like an orb, and most of the other options out there are definitely on the chunkier side, so it's great to feel as it does. I find vac fillers interesting and fun and am really glad there are affordable versions on the market. For under $10, I think the Jinhao X750 is fantastic. It feels and looks classy, it’s smooth as butter, and I genuinely think it might be the best value for money of any fountain pen I’ve tried.

I've been, ah, accumulating fountain pens for a few years now and have been a fan of fountain pen inks even longer. (Blame Nick Stewart).

I have graduated to buying pens over $100 though those are mostly from current individual creators or vintage oddities. But.

Bless the inexpensive pen. Most Asian, like PenBBS, Moonman and, pictured above, Jinhao.

I just did my usual end of the year purchase of ink samples and bottles of ink I've been eyeing which also coincides with me inking pens I haven't in a while. Usually in this category is my Jinhao 51a.

I love this pen. I bought it for $5 off of esypens on Etsy and have never got more bang for the buck. It is one of the most reliable workhorses I have ever used. It will take any ink and perform exceptionally. In the example I've shared, it's Ferris Wheel's April showers. And let me just say, it's been living in this pen for over a week before the above writing example and is doing just fine.

And I really do want to know, especially with all the Inkvent posts, what are other folks favorite "cheap" pens?

Favorite "Cheap" Pen

Weight wise it’s comparable with her current Jinhao x750. It’s a great fountain pen and I would recommend the medium on this one only because Japanese nibs are ground finer for finer lines than most other nibs.

I have rejected Dryden and AmazonBasics pens for being too difficult to hold, especially for longer writing sessions, because they are both too slim and too slippery. I just got the Jinhao x750 this week, and I think I might like the grip, but something about it encourages me to use more tension in my grip. I need a pen that I can hold without too much tension in my hand/wrist.

Typical Jinhao pen. This one has a nice nib, this is not always the case. The build quality is good and with a replacement nib they are quite the value.
