 It comes with the standard little USB cable which is interchangeable with any other you might have, but this one has a little nearly gone and also comes with a spare ink cartridge. These are a standard cartridge type known as D1 then not manufactured or sold on you, but any you find should be compatible. although Neo does have a list of recommended ones from specific manufacturers which you can find our website. The pen needs charging when it arrives and the red light here indicates that is charging

 We essentially bought this as an alternative to a graphics tablet, which we may still get in future Anyway, their pen arrives in a sleek, minimal box, definitely taking some cues from Apple in terms of presentation. The form factor of the pen is totaling like an orb, and most of the other options out there are definitely on the chunkier side, so it's great to feel as it does. But it would be nice to know what fountain pen brands have flaws that would make them bad for a beginner (or anyone in general). I have heard of some brands having quality control issues, so anymore information similar to that would be very helpful.

What pen brands would you, and wouldn't recommend to a beginner?

 Genuinely amazing for the price, and you get, at least when I bought mine, a pack of 5 ink cartridges AND a converter for using bottles ink in the future (Cheap bottled ink like Parker Quink is the most economical way to fill a fountain pen). On AliExpress a Jinhao 992 is a couple of pounds including shipping, but shipping is slow to be fair.

Cheap fountain pen knockoffs worth the try

TWSBI Eco "clone" (can we call all piston fillers TWSBI Eco clones? lol) it has a good ink flow (sometimes it isn't good), The nib is ok, it is a Lamy like nib but I was unable to remove it because it seems to be glued into the feed... lol Mine leaked a couple of times till it stopped by itself

This pen is heavy, it is almost the same as X750 but it has a tripod section. The ink flow is pretty good. I can't tell anything about the original nib because I bought with a fude nib instead. It should be the same price of the x750

Does such a thing exist? I am in budget to spend, after some emergencies… but I use a journal to keep my head straight…

I have a $9 Jinhao. but I’m not sure why but it only can expel ink writing plastic underbelly facing away? I like it, but it makes a mess and not sure what’s up with it lol. 

One day I hope to collect, not to over collect. But I’d love to see if it’s plausible to buy myself a pen at the moment.

Super budget fountain pen that still works great?

Wing Sung 601: $15 vac filler, hooded nib, nail of a fine nib.  Good sort of re-pop of the classic Parker 51. Holds ink for days. Good build
