Considering you're describing a fairly light bag either should be fine. A sling pack that hugs your back well can be a little better balanced and easier on your body and nice for faster paces or going on a trail. It hugs your body and doesn't move around as much. I find a little cross body/mini messenger type a bit easier to get in and out of

 The two things I'd change are design flaws: 1) On the pocket in the largest compartment, the fabric and elastic started to separate and fray. Its not durable enough for repeat putting in and taking out of things. The other thing is the strap used to adjust the fit of the backpack when wearing it. There's no clasp or stop mechanism once you position it, so its completely come out of the strap holder at times, resulting in my somewhat flinging/dropping the backpack when I take it off

Questionable Quality & Non-Existent Warranty Support

 It is on top of sraps on back pf bag. + Most comfortable to wear. The best strap padding is on the Outdoor Master and KAKA sling. - No phone pouch

 My 9.7" iPad in a Finite case fits the same in all 3. My main beef with all of them is the fit of an 8 1/2" x 11" paper. You will need to fit paper in a letter size ( 9 3/8 x 11 3/8") pocket folder so the papers don't crimp

I like that the strap is cushioned, and that it can be worn on the opposite side--I generally wore the phone pouch strap on front, slung over my right shoulder so the strap attached on my left side, which made the zipper easy to access. I also like the padded portion in the center that goes against your back. The second zipper (the one behind the slash zipper you can see in the picture when the bag is turned at an angle) worked out very well to put my small wallet, keys, and a couple pens, since there is a smallish pocket that holds them in place when you unzip this compartment. Later I noticed there is also a leash for your keys

I used this while traveling to Las Vegas for a trade show and was generally pleased, although I would love to see the manufacturer come out with a deluxe version that's about 1" wider, about an inch deeper, and with a thin, water-resistant lining, especially for the main compartment and for the phone pocket on the strap (preferably in a bright, contrasting color to make it easier to see the contents).

I plan to use it instead of a full-sized tech backpack for an upcoming trade show to tote around my Mac laptop, which measures 12.75 x 9 x 0.5 inches. It just barely fits in the sling bag, but I think it should work fine

 Just took it on an 11 mile hike with an elevation change of over 1500 ft. and it was comfortable (adjustable), stayed in place, was easy to swing around to the front to grab my water bottle and snacks, and felt cool and lightweight (barely knew it was there). Spectacular bag for a day hike!!!

 Zippers work great and it has a lifetime guarantee if you go online and register your sling pack. The sellers/makers are two sisters who live far apart from each other and were looking for the perfect travel bag for walking around as a tourist. The mesh for the water bottle is thin but bit enough to hold a large water container or water bottle with a draw string tightener/ love that it wont fall out. You can wear it in front or back

 I use it mainly for commuting/biking to work during the week and light hiking on the weekend. The material is water resistant that keep my stuff dry in case it rains.

Unlike other sling bag I’ve tried before, this bag has just the right strap length and width, very well designed! The back of the pack has mesh padding which is breathable and helps make the bag more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and can be switched to the either side using the D rings located at the bottom of either corner. It feels comfortable whether worn on the front, back, or cross body.

 So if you ask me, the 6 liter is more for the classical vlogger, the type of person who would have a gorilla pod strapped to the bottom or in my case the switch pod and have a full size. Amaura that can fit in here and be able to vlog in that classic manner. Otherwise, if you're more of a mobile vlogger using things like the DJI Osmo pocket or even just your smartphone, while the three-litre still can accommodate that, while fitting more things in it so that you don't have to have so much stuff in your pockets, so yeah. This is this: is the funny part about doing a video about a bag? In order for me to talk about the bag, I have to take all the things out of it to talk about the bag. I don't think I've ever been. This excited to talk about a battle, a bag on my channel, but these are the new peak design, everyday slings. I have the 3-liter right here on my chest and this might look a little familiar to you

 If you follow my social media or even my videos, I'm sure you've seen me wear the original everyday sling 5-liter, especially on my travels. It'S definitely the bag that I use to just keep everything safe and on me at all times now. In a nutshell, the main reason why I think these bags work so well is because peak design have gone ahead and taken some of the philosophies from their previous bags and products and injected them across the three liter and the six liter. Now, there's one thing about the original 5 liter that I feel like was common

 In this case and honestly, the main take away with these bags is that peak design have finally filled in the gaps between 5 and 10 liter. There are definitely going to be different setups that people will have, but I'm still super impressed with mainly the 3 liter and how much stuff I can actually put in here.  You can kind of have to like put it in one side at a time, because you will need the full up to this corner here, to put your MacBook in. So you just kind of got a finagle around that, but you'll be good to go plenty of padding here and then same sort of magnet, also same issue with the six liter, as the ten liter here is. If you put the macbook in this magnet won't be able to close, but I think the Magnum might be more for just keeping it out of the way. If you don't have something in there

 It is incredibly comfortable and then just a quick little release here. So if you want to take it off without moving it over top of your head or you know, try to crawl out from underneath it great setup and then you do have adjusters here and then all this extra strap. You know you just, however tight you need the rest of it just tucks away here, and it stays behind there very nicely for a great dangled free experience. These are just errs to why it works so well in sling or waist pack

While I'm not in any urgent need, I have been looking at various slings over the last several weeks/months as a second sling to have when I need to a have a little more stuff with me. 

My current sling, the [Pacsafe Venturesafe 150 GII](https://www.google.com/search?q=Pacsafe+Venturesafe+150+GII&amp;tbm=isch&amp;ved=2ahUKEwi14NbrrPbsAhXFAewKHR4WD2MQ2-cCegQIABAA&amp;oq=Pacsafe+Venturesafe+150+GII), is perfect in all aspects. I love everything about it, but it's just slightly too small at 2.2-2.5L (depending on who you believe) and I'd like something comparable in a size slightly larger.

I'm hoping that a few bags/brands might come up that I haven't already come across. So far, I haven't seen many bags that I've fallen in love with, so my search continues.

Main requirements: 

* 3.5L - 6L tops. I don't want anything bulky as it needs to rest on my front while I'm driving.  I am NOT looking for anything that expands to crazy sizes like the X-Pod (although, I do like the overall style of the X-pod).
* Must work with right-shoulder carry. 
* Needs some internal organization.
* The materials need to "last forever". 
* Must not contain leather. This point already excludes some otherwise great bags, but I won't budge from this requirement. 
* Must be a similar style of bag as the Pacsafe VentureSafe 150, as opposed to "purse" style, messenger bag, etc. 
* I'd like to have one with compression straps on it, since I prefer a low-profile, tighter bag, and I can see myself using this feature often.

**Cost is not a factor**, provided it meets my needs. 

So far, I've been interested in the following bags: 

* Greenroom136 Metrorunner bags, which look like they might fit the bill, but they also appear to be a rather bulky 6L size. Any alternatives to this bag would be appreciated.
* The Alpaka Go Sling Pro has also got me interested, but I'm not a fan of the form factor. 
* The Hemiplanet Transit Sling XL is very close, but it's a touch too small. 
* The Black Ember TSK looks amazing, but it's too small at 2.5L.
