 So the pack has a day-pack included that attaches inside the pack for ease of use and it has a clip inside to attach your bladder inside the day-pack. This is all and good however I don't really plan on using the day-pack and that bladder clip is the only one in the pack. So if you remove the day-pack you lose your mounting point. I found an easy fix that being some Velcro tape stuck together fed through an exposed portion of the metal frame at the top of the inside of the pack that allows me to hold a bladder in place (A zip-tie worked as well but is much less practical)

 So far I can only give initial impressions as my only real use thus far was a 3 mile overnight trip to the upper twin lake on Mt.Hood about a 3 mile hike. It performed pretty well for that but I still yet to put it though some more punishing things like get caught in a rainstorm to truly test how well it holds up in more undesirable circumstances. The sizing is a touch big but that was to be expected as I'm very thin but with a broad build making sizing of clothes and packs a little more challenging

My first real backpacking pack and its almost perfect

Ordered mine on sale in late spring, taken it on a handful of 10+ mile out & backs and a 20 mile summit so far, overall I’d say really great bag i’d expect nothing less from mountain hardwear. Excels in comfort, ventilation, and overall layout in my opinion compared to similar options from Osprey & REI brand bags, although a bit more spendy. The fit was pretty true to size, I have a 19” torso and 32” waist and the S/M fits me great. The sliding lumbar support really sells it for me, keeps the pack considerably more balanced and stable especially on more technical terrain

 The pack has held up well enough in both the rocky high desert as well as alpine bristlecone forests over my first season with it. The detachable day pack turned out to be a lot more useful than I originally expected when I ordered this pack, Great for small day hikes or dropping your main pack at camp to summit with the daypack. Daypack is pretty comfortable with a 3L bladder although a chest strap would be nice. Biggest gripe I’ve seen about the bag is the front mesh pocket, it hasn’t been a tear concern for me personally even in pretty thick brush, and I hardly use it for anything but wrappers anyway so rain getting the contents wet is not a concern for me either

 It took a couple tries of messing with the straps to get the hang on this, but after taking it out for one full day on the mountains I am thrilled with this purchase. This is a very intuitively designed bag. I'm thrilled with it.

AWESOME winter pack

 Plenty of room in those front pockets. You've got a nice carry handle right here up at the top and that's big enough that you can access that with gloves on. The other thing I Really like about this pack is that a lot of the zipper pulls here our glove friendly, so they're big enough that even if you've got bulky gloves on, you can still open and close them. The buckles as well are also glove friendly, so it's those small attentions to detail that make this pack really unique

 As you can see, this back panel here is very smooth. You've got plenty of padding, and this is actually a thermoformed and contoured back panel. Snow isn't gonna be able to build up on there, it's just gonna wipe right off. so this is gonna actually keep you dry if you need to take the pack off and get into your gear, it's the same along the shoulder harness

 so if we take a look at the shoulder harness and the back panel, you've got two sizes here for the torso, so be sure to check those sizes on the product page to be certain what's going to be best for you. But not only the torso length is women's specific, but the contours in the shoulder harness, contours in the hip belt, and even the width of those features are women's specific, so that's going to keep you that much more comfortable when you're in the backcountry. As you can see, this back panel here is very smooth. You've got plenty of padding, and this is actually a thermoformed and contoured back panel
