Mossberg Maverick with folding stock, bone stock Anderson Manufacturing AM-15, SCCY 9mm with 32 round clip & ammo bag

First shotgun, first rifle, first pistol. Poor mans “armed in 2021”

I bought that stock for my maverick 88 all i can say is after 2 range days I took it off and put a hogue grip on instead

Good luck finding one of these, Mossberg 500 roadblocker edition with ATI folding stock. Springfield XD .45 for scale

 This one has a hollow part right here probably where the screw goes in that attaches to the receiver other than that it's filled in. So the Maverick 88 is going to be a lighter firearm. Do I care about the hollow stock? As long as it doesn't shatter on my shoulder I don't care at all. I mean anything I can do to save weight to make the shotgun lighter because they're already pretty heavy especially when you load them up is a plus for me

 This is made for shooting really small targets that are moving at a high rate of speed and it's extremely hard to do that with a ghost ring set up. It just doesn't work, it blocks a bunch of your vision, it's slower to use, it's just not, it sucks, it really does. I mean you can go with either one, it'll probably be just fine, but if you're looking for maximum speed without a doubt bead sight is the way to go. The font on the receiver even looks different

 Now the Maverick 88 has a bead sight which is exactly how a shotgun should be because as soon as the stock hits your cheek, you're on target and you discharge the firearm. The Mossberg 500 has a ghost ring sight set up and because there's such a little price difference between the one with the ghost ring set up and without, like I said you're probably almost always going to see the ghost ring set up on the ones in the shop, but when you come up it touches your cheek and now you're too low, so now you've got to bring your head up and fire. If you've never ran a shotgun before and you go to the ghost ring set up, you'll probably be like, oh that's just fine, but now like let's say you were on a ghost ring set up and then you went to a bead sight set up, as soon as you get familiar with the sights you'll notice instantly, you're insanely faster. On a shotgun I feel you should never have anything but a bead sight set up

 But ghost ring sights, they really are that horrible and it's making me lean away from it. I mean they get hooked on everything, they're slow. I probably would still go with the Mossberg because I don't like the pistol grip stocks on shotgun anyway, I like where the safety is on here. It is almost double the price of the Maverick 88

What Is The Real Difference ? Why The Add Cost ? Is It Worth It ?

 I love it. Just a warning for the faint of heart. Slugs dislocated my shoulder. And while i couldn't be happier I don't expect much of anyone to like the recoil with heavy slug loads

 This gun came from the certified used guns vault at Gunz.com and even though it is used it's in excellent shape I also want to show that it is clear. The Mossberg Maverick 88 gets its name from the year 1988 when it was first produced. It is assembled in Texas with some Mexican parts which reduces its cost

That's not a brand new one, but it's not a super old one And Remington actually still makes these to this day in this configuration So just got this Winchester AA 8 shot here today. So they are 2 and 3 quarter inch shells This has a 4 round capacity in the magazine

 I led that one a little more and it broke so I'll try that on the next couple So All right, yeah, I just wasn't leading them enough so let's try this other one see what it does Zoom back out here make sure we can see Okay, that one's way easier much slower relaxed pace All right, I got two shells left, let's see if I can end on these two faster ones here Here I got a piece of it So All right pretty easy there honestly, uh, I just at first I wasn't leading it enough still hit 95% or more though All right. Well, that's going to do it there. I was glad I was able to come down here and hit some clays with it Um, like I said, I absolutely love this thing to balance the weight. It's super smooth

 This is a public range. So there's nothing I can do about that So like I said Remington 870 Express, it is a 28 gauge If we could see through my shadow there It's got about a 25 inch barrel on it.
