MoonDrop Aria vs Shure SE112

It's not all positive however, the Moondrop Aria's can cause some ear tenderness after hours of wearing. Changing the eartips out to custom ones doesn't really help much, but it can if you find an eartip that really works well for you. I think this tenderness is due to the metal casing that is used, but I can't complain too much about them being metal because it'll add durability and make them last longer. If you're looking for a great pair of earbuds under $100 for the gamer or audiophile in your life, this is an excellent pair of earbuds for them

I waited to write a review for the earphones as I wanted to see the performance over a longer period. It's been 11 months since I bought them .i bought two pairs, one for a friend. Both of us experienced the same issue

There are cheaper options like the aforementioned IEMs and more expensive options like the Empire Ears Odin, but from a purely value standpoint, these top the charts. Thanks for reading my review.

Yes, I know there's different sleeves, none seem "just right." I cannot get a good fit, so the noise cancellation aspect fails.

This time the right channel made a soft pop. Now the earphone that I do have barely gets to a listenable level at full volume on my phone and has the same tinny-ness as the left. The quality control of these units is awful and the process of getting anything about it fixed at all is more of a hastle and wait than I am willing to go through again (keep in mind it's been three months since I've recieved the headphones and not only are neither working properly anymore, but half of that time was spent with only one earphone anyway). Update: The company happily and swiftly issued a refund at request after a breif explanation, so it is at least easy to get refunds/replacements, and for that I give them credit

The sound that comes out of these doesn't sound that great to me, the headphones that came with my iPod sound much better as do the $15 dollar pair of sport headphones i've got. I wasn't expecting anything great, but i didn't think it'd sound worse than the cheap headphones i've already got. The instructions say that if there seems to be a lack of low frequency bass to try another tip, i've gone back and forth between all 3 several times and tried positioning the headphones in different positions but the bass always sounds muffled. But that's not really why i bought these and even if the sound wasn't perfect i could live with that

Very Clean with a real nice clarity to them. It’s definitely balanced over all, nothing is trying to out do the other frequencies, though there is a little lift in the bass and in the treble region, the mid range seems pretty level and maybe a pinch upper mid lift as well, as the vocals come in nicely as well with no recess. For me, this isn’t my favorite tuning, but I will say the tuning is done pretty excellent for what they went after, and add the price in, these are a bargain without a doubt, though I do like the Starfields a touch better, though they’re almost identical, I like the color and shape of the Starfield, and I think the Soundstage is just a smudge larger and more precise, which with them I can really get lost with my eyes close pinpointing where the sounds are, not that these can’t, they can, just slightly less, but factor in the cost, you can’t go wrong with these. I do get a craving for more bass with these, as it just seems not enough, though I do get a natural feel to the sounds with them, in though when I listen to Classical Rock, such as AC/DC “Thunderstruck”, the guitar comes in nicely with the vocals, and then the drums kick in, all is clear and clean, I just feel like I want more Mmmmph! to it, some more meat, as it sounds a little lean, even though everything comes in nicely

I'm a pro audio guy thats tried probably 30 IEM's/Chifi headphones over the last few months. I didn't test these critically so I'm not sure if they best the cheap market there, however, in terms of fit and sound they are not worth the money. If you're limited to this level of spending, you might try the 'chifi' market, like a CCA C10 or go for something like the Sennheiser IE 4 instead, which is surprisingly good but bass heavy. I wouldn't recommend these, the fit was painful, the accessories were OK, the isolation wasn't special and the sound was pretty poor - sort of that old-gen dynamic sound pushed to its limits - dark, bass heavy, and muddy in the mids

Basically, when I'm wearing them, only the tips are in and not the body, so I'll be sending them back. Before I purchased the T3 Plus, by the bunch of reviews and comments I've heard and read about the Moondrop Aria's, they seem like a good upgrade from the Blon's because of the similar warm balanced tuning. However, I'm still concerned about the fit since their size looks similar to the T3 Plus' and definitely those paint chipping issues.

I am puzzled, though, after reading so many positive reviews of these SE112s at professional/amateur audiophile web sites. In my opinion, they are middle-of-the-line in the sub-50$ segment and you can definitely do better. I am not an audio professional, but have been playing musical instruments as a hobby for over 20 years and have a trained ear. I certainly see myself using these earphones in noisy environments, but not with a DAC or when relaxing - their sound signature is not what I was looking for

If you are going to find any decent in-ear/earbuds, it's worth to give this a try blindly if you don't know anything at all, I bet you won't regret about it. The only one small thing that maybe different from one to another, is that the comfortabilty. I'm not sure what causes it, but this can't stay in my ear at a long time, compared to the Moondrop Quarks, which is one of the smallest and cheapest In ear, but it has a muddy mid which I don't really like. But since it's has a really good price, I can't complain about this at all

After about 4 months of regular use one of the channels started to buzz a bit, and I've been in the unenviable position of having to twist the cable and position it 'just so' to avoid crackling and cutting in and out on the right channel. I could forgive the comfort issues due to the sound quality and isolation, but it just was a constant struggle to find the balance between ear pressure comfort with the seal and getting them into 'just the right position' for it not to be uncomfortable, even trying different tips nothing felt as comfortable. The cord seemed very heavy duty, but obviously it has it's issues as after only 4 months one side is beginning to fray. Wouldn't recommend unless you can try in person and will be using these in a very mild, non-active fashion and isolation is a must
