Which one would you recommend?  


We can't decide which one to go for. Bagless models like C1X are a question mark for us due to the need of washing the filters consequently, and we do not know how long the bags last for C3 model and the costs of the bags.

Miele Boost C1X dog and cat or C3 dog and cat?

Miele's bagless machines really aren't their strong-suit, to the point that a lot of folks would call them 20 years behind the rest of the market. Biggest flaw to the Blizzard CX1 models is their inaccessible exhaust filters that'll clog up over the vacuum's life. With this maintenance-unfriendly design, I can't really consider this a buy-it-for-life machine.

I’ve been looking at the home edition Miele C-3s mainly, the bagless version for convenience. My concern with bagged is our current situation (mostly carpeted apartment but will be moving into a home in the next year that will be mostly hard floors) and our dogs. We have two long haired dogs that shed a ton, I mean it’s absurd how much we pickup every few days. I know bagged have better filtration and suction but we don’t have allergies or anything that requires ultra filtration. Currently have an upright Hoover with a ton of sucking power and does fine (bagless) so I’m not totally sold on the bagged idea. I feel like it will turn into a major expense with the bags in the long term even though they compact it more than bagless does. Any thoughts?

Bagged or bagless Miele canister?

-Something that is as eco-friendly as possible. My husband really wants bagless because he doesn't want to throw vacuum bags into landfills. We actually went ahead and purchased the Miele Blizzard Cx1 which is bagless but I'm really not sure I want to keep it because I've heard that the lifetime filter doesn't last longer than a year or so.  If you want a bagless vacuum, I think my Dyson V10 has better performance and is even cordless, you just lose the flexibility of a canister vacuum.  I hope Miele does better in the future!

Lastly, the unit blows exhaust air out of the front rather than on top like my old one, and because of the short hose it ends up blowing hot air at my ankles the whole time I am vacuuming. Love Miele but disappointed

 I do love that I can retract the cord with the push of a button and that it is stored within the vacuum. Overall, it is not noisy, it works great and it is a very nice vacuum!

This vacuum has a very powerful suction and does an amazing job of removing pet hair from my carpet and rugs. It is lightweight and easy to pull around the house. I am able to vacuum a large area before needing to dump it, also. The only issue I have had with it is that I cannot push it forward on the carpet

 It is very easy to manuever. The suction power is amazing for something so small as it can reach wind speeds of over 60mph. It isn't loud but it isn't super quiet either. It gets under and around furniture easily making the job so much easier than an upright

This is a newer entry into the canister vacuum space from renowned manufacturer, Miele. The Miele Boost is a compact that is designed primarily for smaller homes or spaces though it has the power to be used in larger spaces for sure. It is incredibly well designed and thoughtfully engineered. We have had multiple Dyson uprights and, frankly, this blows them away for my use anyway

 There are multiple filters here, all washable. It is just very well done.  My wife is about as picky as it gets with vacuums. I was impressed but I knew she would be a much harsher critic

My vacuum cleaner is broken and I had to buy a new one today because I can't go any longer without vacuuming. Does anyone have a vacuum? They actually really like? I want to have a vacuum that does the job and that lasts a really long time. At the same time. I feel really weird paying $800 for a Dyson for example. But as I tossed out my old vacuum cleaner today, I felt so bad about all of the plastic and parts. I couldn't find a vacuum repair person in my area and honestly even if I could it probably would cost more to pay someone to fix my vacuum then to get a new vacuum. Plus it seems like vacuums are so cheaply made these days and so full of easily crackable plastic bits that it isn't a mechanical problem. It's likely just a problem. Please send help!

I had never heard of the Miele brand prior to getting this Miele Boost CX1 - Bagless canister vacuum cleaner, so I wasn’t sure what they were all about. But if this is any judge of there quality than I’m hooked!  Let me just say that this isn’t going to replace your vacuum cleaner, or even your stick vacuum. This is more like a hybrid between a shop vac, vacuum cleaner, and a stick vacuum. It makes cleaning things above floor level a breeze! It does a good job on the floor too, but I think it really excels at those things above floor level

 Plus it even has an auto cord rewind button! Overall definitely something I didn’t know I needed until I had it, but now that I have it I don’t know what I would do without it!

False Start

This is our second carpet cleaner, and it replaced a Hoover Steam Vac. The attractive feature of this unit is the removable portion with the hose. You can use it as an upright carpet cleaner, or remove the portable unit and spot clean things like pet stains. The brush roller does a good job of scrubbing the carpet in upright mode

Works for soaking your carpets

 Filling the clean is fast and easy and dumping the dirty is even faster with less parts in the way that could break or wear out. Just make sure you vacuum good first and you should have no problems.

Other than awkward angled screw holes to put it together and the tank sizes need to be switched around since you get a quarter of dirty water out of one full clean on medium carpet it works good on carpet and the lift off works awesome on spots or vehicles.  I wish Bissell would turn the cap of their carpet shampoo into a measuring cup. It would sure make things easier. I ended up using what I hoped was about a forth of the 8 ounce bottle that was included. Not a big deal, but one that could easily be remedied by Bissell
