 A lot of the older cardboard viewers that I played with in the past, you would just sort of move this back and forth away from your face until you kinda had everything in focus. but I would always feel like I was going a little cross-eyed like I was trying to look at a magic eye or something like that. and this really helps make sure that I've got it locked in exactly where I need it to make sure everything's crystal clear. and I really like this economy of design where the buttons that you use to manipulate the lenses to slide the lenses back and forth also double as the buttons that you use to control elements in the Google cardboard

You can completely remove the elastic strap if you want just so that you can do that little wrist flip to move back and forth through the Google cardboard

 You throw on some headphones or you connect some Bluetooth headphones and you're completely sealed off from the rest of the world. And I Suppose that means we should talk about price as Merge VRS Priced this headset out at $99.99 penny short of $100 Now considering the state of Google cardboard headsets I Feel that that's probably appropriate pricing. A lot of the nicer, harder plastic cases are probably gonna run in that 30 to 50 dollar range

 I suspect that my problem the first time was just user error as I was becoming familiar with the goggle's features and how to adjust the lenses for a clear picture. So all in all, I give this product a big thumbs up for a great performance and user-friendly experience.

 However, my husband, who does have a bit of a tendency toward motion sickness, tried them out and had no trouble at all, even after 15 minutes, so I gave it another go. This time I watched videos and played games for about 15 minutes and had absolutely no issues with motion sickness whatsoever. I suspect that my problem the first time was just user error as I was becoming familiar with the goggle's features and how to adjust the lenses for a clear picture. So all in all, I give this product a big thumbs up for a great performance and user-friendly experience

High quality VR headset

 I cannot see how this is worth $99. My other 2 headsets were cheaper and better all around. Sorry Merge, This gets a thumbs down for me and not my recommendation. YMMV but this is my opinion

 I tested this with an Lg G3, LG V10, and Motorola Droid Turbo 2. The V10 had to be forced into the headset, and did not really fit, the G3 needed to have its case removed for it to fit, and the Turbo 2 did not have a case and fit inside ok. After using this for 1 hour it went back in its box and scheduled the return. Mine may have been defective because I could not get anything but a blurry image out of my headset

 very annoying to keep having to move them back in place. also wish the field of view was better, I have an iPhone 6s and there is to much black on the sides, the center is perfect, but with all the black on the sides it ruins the immersive effect for me and makes it hard for me to get lost in the game.

A few years ago when I got my headset, I built the most compact desktop possible so that they could fit together in an airplane carry-on sized pelican case. If fitting this thing in a bag with a laptop is an option, I think that's a pretty good deal. It will depend a lot on connectivity options, but portable VR is still something people want

 Maybe will be perfect for me now. So what I really suggest to do is to watch a lot of review see like the reviewers be like this is my face look at that and so if it fits comfortably on my face and you're similar to me well it will fit also on you instead. If doesn't fit well to me but maybe some other reviewer will fit well well you have your answer there. So don't just stay on just one review and try to understand that these is just a piece of clothing at the end because when you wear it it's like it's like if you're wearing like an Hat or you're wearing a sweater someone can be comfortable, some not so it's really up to you

 The Samson Odyssey PLAs use a nail of style design that is one that are very used with their Windows mixed reality I said but it doesn't flip up like all the other do Now this is a comfortable device is so much more comfortable. First generation one if use padding's that are very squishy on the front and on the back but are not removable. The only one removable is the face cushion that I really suggest you to remove because the one included is very stiff and creates a lot of light bleeding. Even if you close it a lot, well you're always gonna have like bleeding and unless you really squeeze your ads so much that it's gonna start to work and that's not really what you're looking for

 East Right away that is lighter than the first generation and you can feel it for sure. It's much more comfortable, at least for me. We always said to think about the fact that every time we comfort on the VR headset, it's very difficult to sell. Yeah, this is comfortable

Samsung Odyssey + Plus - The FULL Honest REVIEW - Best VR Headset?

The Odyssey+ is a really good VR headset and far better than the old Oculus CV1 my sister uses. Comfort is okay, not incredible. The only issue is that it seems to really put most of the weight in the upper part of the face and very little in the bottom which even lets some light in. Other than that, putting it on your head is far better than the Oculus CV1 and it's velcro straps

  Picture quality is the main reason I bought this headset as they claimed to nearly get rid of the screen door effect. I can say the effect is definitely far less prevalent here than other headsets, but it is still very much there, plus the way of getting rid of the SDE is rather blurry which makes the image look like you used a TAA filter over everything. It's not terrible but in a perfect world we wouldn't have either. But it does have 90hz, an OLED display, and a higher resolution than even the Rift S and Vive Pro making it have the best picture quality by specs, but for those who don't like the implementation for removing the SDE, look towards the Vive Pro for similar specs but at the loss of OLED

For Those Who Want To Work For It

 Rechargeable batteries are an absolute must -- they will pay for themselves.  The unboxing experience is about as basic as it gets. The headset ships in a generic white box, and the packing quality is low even by Samsung's standards. Not that the packaging matters, but I think it's a good indicator of how many of these things Samsung thinks they'll sell, as well as the future outlook of the Windows Mixed Reality platform

 I've already beaten them up a bit, but they've held up well, although the plastic scuffs and scrapes easily. They require two double-a batteries and have a short battery life. Rechargeable batteries are an absolute must -- they will pay for themselves.  The unboxing experience is about as basic as it gets

 The field of view is nice and wide, and the anti-screen door filter works as advertised, but the lenses are finicky and require that they align perfectly with your eyes for an optimum experience. I find that the headset shifts around a lot, and I almost always have to readjust the "sweet spot." An aftermarket headstrap is also a must.  The sound is excellent, although depending on your head, you might have difficulty getting the headphones directly over your ears

Perfectly fine solution if you want to play Half Life Alyx

  The handsets are very light and feel cheap; they also go through batteries like nobody's business, so use rechargeable AA's if possible.  Overall, I don't regret my purchase since this was on sale for $229 when I bought it. I would not buy it at full price however, mostly because of limited FOV, display resolution and especially the headset comfort. If you're on the fence, wait for a sale and grab it
