I was looking at buying a drum barrel smoker when I came across this. I was excited about the ease of use with the temperature controller provided. It was also cheaper and I like the idea and ease of being able to fire it up quickly if I wanted to just make burgers one weekend. The reviews I read were generally quite positive and the only negatives seemed to be the app and those who received damage units

A little disappointed

 There's the fan. And then you'll notice here in just a moment we'll get some smoke start to roll out from the cooking chamber. And this is going to push all the heat into the grill till we reach 250 degrees. What'll happen is that as a variable speed fan and we will get the variation of fan speeds to maintain that 250

 It's just about time and temperature. 250 for 60, 400 for 30. Then you can shut it down and let it cool off. Now the next time you fire up your grill you're gonna need to season it

 So we're gonna hit the thermometer button. We're gonna turn this up to 250. Hit the temperature button. Now you'll notice that the fans did not kick on yet

 It is time to get the grill actually turned on. So we need to open up the air vents. There are these two paddles. Pull these out completely

Have just had this smoker for a few days but I think the following will help others

 The app is very hand (when it works), but it needs some serious development. A buggy app is one thing, but it's appalling that an entire product with so much marketing material focused on the smart connectivity doesn't actually work half the time.  Luckily, this grill has a lot going for it aside from the app/connectivity. It's a beautiful grill, feels very solid, and a pleasure to grill on

  In my first use, I found the following observations: 1. Even after shaking the charcoal grate to shake free any ash, it takes 2x fire starter cubes to really get the fire going. One cube just doesn't cut it. 2

Don't buy this if you expect the app/bluetooth/wifi to work

The set up and build for this grill took around 3-4 hrs to do. Once put together the fun began! It has so many awesome features! The first obvious one is the smoker attached to the grill! Able to cook so much and really learn a lot as well. Love the meat thermometer attachment to make sure your meat is cooked to proper temperature. Able to connect to your smart phone is an awesome plus as well

 There is actually a gas version. First off the assembly is very easy for this, basically to install the grips on the sides and on the top, the only thing you need to use is a phillips screwdriver. We actually took this to a tailgate and used it to cook some brats and hot dogs and burgers and everything went really well so yeah we just used the charcoal briquettes, as you can see here, and everything but yeah, it's pretty cool because then also at the End, it has kind of the tuck and carry lid lock, so basically the feet that you're seeing there just flip up and then they kind of cover and keep the lid on. So then you can just kind of carry it by the top grip there

 The setup was simple: it did a great job at the tailgate and it's a pretty versatile option very easy to get in and out of the car and take somewhere with you, whether you're camping tailgating, whatever you want to do, 

 The grade is a plated seal, cooking grate and you have plated steel legs as well, and they say you can get up to six burgers on there, which we did get on there and you can definitely get a good amount of hot dogs or brats on there. As well yeah overall, this worked great. The setup was simple: it did a great job at the tailgate and it's a pretty versatile option very easy to get in and out of the car and take somewhere with you, whether you're camping tailgating, whatever you want to do,

It'S ready for some burgers to go on, so that is - and I love this now - let's time it for about two minutes per side - and you can see that there's only half coals on one side, because the other side is going to be our sort of baking

Best Portable Grill Weber Go Anywhere Review

Good Paint Coating, Good Grills, Good Handles. A good solid, good cooking grill. Food is cooked consistently all over - no over-cooked or under-cooked parts of meat, poultry, or fish.

Perfect size for small cooks. I have a 26er for bigger cooks, but if I just want to do a couple of burgers or a small steak, the Go Anywhere Charcoal is great! Uses 2/3's the charcoal!

Primarily bought so I can have a small charcoal grill on a small balcony. Love the form factor, and the easy to use vents. Just make sure you have heat mitts on when adjusting them. Love that because it is small, it doesn't require as much charcoal as the big Webers, which means charcoal is ready much faster
